China's ethnic cleansing of Muslim Uyghers

Rate this topic

Some noise needs to be made about these atrocities, as a matter of urgency really. It's sickening to the core. Has any "Islamic" country even tried having any dialogue with China about this?

There are up to 1 million Muslim Uyghers that are living in internment camps in China.[1] This is state sanctioned institutionalized oppression of an ethnic minority in China.

The internment camps have been confirmed by international observers including the United Kingdom.[2] The internment camps were legalized by the Chinese government in October 2018.[3] Initially the Chinese government denied the existence of internment camps where people are being detained and tortured.[4] They are being physically [5] and mentally tortured.[6]

Millions of Uyghers are not free to practice their religion without fear of the Chinese government detaining and torturing them. They live in perpetual fear under martial law. The people are subjugated to near total surveillance with cameras watching their every move. The Chinese government monitors every aspect of the people's lives and if there is even the slightest bit of dissent police arrest individuals and send them to the camps. The surveillance is so bad that if someone from the region has an international phone # saved on their phone or if they receive a call from an international phone number they are detained under suspicion and sent to a camp.[7]

There are restrictions that have been imposed too - the government continues to close down mosques, they have made it illegal to fast during Ramadan and require Uyghur stores to sell alcohol. However these restrictions are minuscule compared to the government systematically removing a million adults from society and detaining them in internment camps where they are being tortured.[8]

How many Uyghurs have been thrown into this gulag, an archipelago of “reeducation” camps? It is hard to know for sure. The government does not even acknowledge the existence of the camps. Estimates range from half a million to a million people. Almost every household in the region has been affected. In one county, Moyu, 40 percent of the adults have disappeared.

Who is targeted? Everyone? Potentially, yes, but certain Uyghurs are most vulnerable. People who are religious or political (“politically incorrect,” in the words of the government). People who have traveled abroad, or who have received a phone call from abroad. Teachers and intellectuals. I’m reminded of Cambodia, where the Khmer Rouge went after people who wore glasses.

In East Turkestan, the young are especially targeted — people under 40. A report from RFA quotes a village security official, who says, “People born in the 1980s and 1990s have been categorized as part of a violent generation — many of whom have been taken into reeducation under this category.” I’m reminded of Cuba, where many have been arrested on the charge of “pre-criminal social dangerousness.”

...The entire population is DNA-sampled. Biometrics are wielded against the people. Communications are closely monitored. Privacy has almost been eliminated. People fear to talk to one another, or to go out. Normal towns have been turned into ghost towns.

Nothing but imperialist propaganda, the pot and the kettle calling the milk black.

"They are being watched by the military" all the time and feel oppressed and tortured by that?!?

BiiIIIIIiiiig dEaL!!      OH    mai   gad!~

LOL @ "Ethnic cleansing"

The word is that uncle satan was hiring them like it hired ISIS and mujahidin in the past so they could play mercenaries and freedom fighters and destabilize China, but China foiled the thing and nabbed everybody receiving monies from foreign accounts. Basically their plan pretty much died with that. OMG .. so much torture on those poor western mercs.

P.S.: See other thread for reference.

A commentator/interviewee on DeutscheWelle characterized this as "cultural genocide".

Articles suggest that there are even regulations regarding use of toilets.

But let's be honest, we already knew it was bad.

Yup. So bad. Might as well send in Custer with the cavalry and get it over with. Regulations on use of toilets so bad. Worse than napalm and cluster bombs.

How to Brainwash a Million People

No escapes, constant surveillance and forced confessions: Panorama reveals how China runs its re-education camps. More than a million people have been locked up. It's one of the biggest mass detentions in modern history. Reporter Richard Bilton uncovers the reality of surveillance and abuse inside hundreds of new detention centres.

Only if Christians or Jews were being brainwashed, would the west give it actual air time in the news. But if Muslims themselves do not care, then there certainly won't be any napalm.

It's been happening throughout the Stans for decades. I remember visiting some East German farmers in Siberia, who had been shipped in by the Soviets after their ethnic cleansing / genocide of the (Muslim) Kazakhs.

And the Soviets seem to have been fairly successful in de-Islamising Azerbaijan.

This is not an excuse for the Chinese actions, but just a reminder that it is hardly new.

I watched this..

The systematic brainwashing and degradation on such a massive scale is mind boggling.

The west only pretends to care about these crimes against humanity because it makes China look bad. I'd like to see Muslim countries say something about it.

I am sorry but a bunch of ISIS manpower source being re-educated / not allowed toilet as much as they like is not such a hot issue for me personally while I see Merica Israhell and their lackey Saudia exterminating the innocent populace of Yemen for instance or while India is raping and hanging from trees innocent Kashmiri women. The case is especially funny when I see self proclaimed advocates of the devil peddling it exclusively, to put it very simply.

I mean how is mass exterminations on one hand not worthy of notice and condemnation but Uyghers being denied extended toilet use is? Am I the only one here who sees something quite extraordinary with that behavior?

- At least they are fed, go to toilet, are alive, are receiving free re-education instead of joining ISIS and destroying the world further pushing it into chaos.

- Uyghurs brought this upon themselves when they threatened China. Perhaps they should not have done that.

I agree China is not being nice or may not have been just in its response to the threat. But I am not going to protest along with the worst bigots and mass murderers of Muslims in this case that has politics stamped all over its face.

If something is wrong it's wrong regardless of whether the people being persecuted are Wahhabis, Jews or atheists.

Brother I am not saying its right. But its heaven compared to getting burnt to a crisp in napalm and getting buried under rubble along with their children, like the enemies of China do. When was the last time they helped anyone without their own interest. And ISIS is ISIS, whether Wahhabi or Shia, ISIS is a bio-hazard.

How easy is it to belittle the small sins, what is funnier is how you belittle the greater sins like oppression.

"America oppresses more" so? Since when was it that Shi'as cared about who "oppresses more" when it comes to calling out and rejecting the dhalimeen? May Allah curse all oppressors.

Mass extermination is worthy of notice and condemnation, as is all other dhulm.

And to argue "Uyghurs brought it on themselves" is a pathetic attempt at apologising for the Chinese regime. But then again, it is not surprising that politically driven "anti-imperialist" Muslims will resort to victim blaming by downplaying collective punishment. Yes, because every one of those thousands of Uyghurs being "re-educated" intended to join ISIS. lol

Back when SCO was known as the Shanghai 5, China only identified 3 or 4 Uyghurs who crossed over into Afghanistan. Uyghurs are a Turkish.

How easy is it to belittle the small GREATEST and immediate issues and instead cry about Uyghurs not being allowed proper potty time while believing in our arch enemy's media.

"America oppresses more" so? It destroyed my country and I want it to destroy others too. Since when was it that Shi'as cared about who "oppresses more" rather its a prudent human nature to prioritize issues and I do not. May Allah curse all oppressors, particularly China, because reasons (plx plx God not Australia while I reside in it :cryhappy:.)

Mass extermination is worthy of notice and condemnation, as is all other dhulm. But I have taken refuge in Australia so I won't for now.

And to argue point out the fact that "Uyghurs brought it on themselves" hurt my argument and deeply offends me~! It is a pathetic attempt at apologising for the Chinese regime. But then again, it is not surprising that politically driven "anti-imperialist" Muslims will resort to victim blaming by downplaying collective punishment. Yes, because every one of those thousands of Uyghurs being "re-educated" could have potentially intended to join ISIS, being ignorant like me. lol. I am safe from ISIS in Australia ... lol deal withit lolololo

Fixed ftw.

GREATEST and immediate issues and instead cry about Uyghurs not being allowed proper potty time while believing in our arch enemy's media.

Nope. All issues deserve their time and place. For example, when I say that the situation of Shi'as in Pakistan and Afghanistan is more important to focus on than Palestine, all of you people cry. The situation of the Uyghurs is not the most important issue for us Shi'a, but any issue where there is oppression involved, it is good to have a voice.

Has nothing to do with priority when it comes to using your voice bruv.

Also your argument about ISIS is pathetic, collective punishment and "pre-punishment" are amongst the most obvious signs of oppression bruv. Open ur eyes.

Comparing Palestinians with Uyghurs? *facepalm*

I trust the Chinese to have solid reasons for re-educating some of the Uyghurs living inside their country. Secondly, I do not trust the western propaganda outlets to say the least. Why is that so difficult to understand? If you are brainwashed by the west doesn't mean everyone else should follow course.

Then use your voice against the bloodshed occurring in Iraq at your home, instead of supporting it. Its ridiculous to note your unnatural behavior. When it comes to your own political desire you are something else, when it comes to something that should concern you the least and is narrated not by kadhaab or Sunni narrators but by purely kafir narrators at war with us you believe all the tell you and then you abruptly have a Shia soul yearning for justice. How odd.

Oh I have. Go check the Iraq protests thread, where I posted night and day in support of the protesters and the disgraceful allegations against them by your brothers who follow the same logic as you.

It is you and your brethren who believe in kafir (Russia, China, DPRK) and Islamist Sunnis (Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas) narratives as they are your revolutionary allies, not mine.

I disbelieve in all Governments and countries and consider them all to either be tyrannical or at the very least not aadil.
