I just feel this would be a nice thread to start where men share their perspectives on their "dream women".

Reacting to your first sentence, w/o reading any further . . .

Informative, pleasant, does work, and has an "off" switch.

I'd also add:

  • Someone who's not anti-taqlid
  • Someone who's not a stubborn shadah e thalitha reciter in tashahud
  • Someone who's got no issues with normal azadari
  • Someone who's not a hater or insulter of those who practice tatbir or a die hard anti-tatbir Shia
  • Someone who's not rainbows and unicorns excessive sushi-unity promoting Shia
  • Someone who's not a "no cursing Shia", or a poor tabarrah practicing Shia
  • Someone who's not a "Qur'an-only Shia"
  • Someone who doesn't take light the status of the ahlul bayth (عليه السلام) but at the same time they don't express nusayri/ghuluw tendencies as well

I don’t disagree, just quite humourous coming from certain individuals. It's just such a classic young Muslim^ guy thread.

Of course it was, only you two are innovative enough to think of something like this

Yeah it was a collaboration, lol we've always thought about this project. It was about time we moved on to the execution stage of the project. Alhumdulillah turned out to be good.

Salaam,

(This is serious, I'm aware that there are some humorous replies on this thread, this reply isn't one of them)

So I just want to start of by discussing my expectations of a woman. I think that it's important to care more about the personality of a woman rather than her looks.

For the appearance then, personally for me it doesn't really matter if she has stretch marks, cellulite, a bigger body, smaller "parts" etc.. But then in turn I would like it if she overlooked certain things about my looks too...

For her personality I would like her to be shy and quiet with others, but loud and confident with me... And hopefully understanding of my sense of humour, this is very important because humour = happiness which strengthens the relationship, people shouldn't be sad and stressed rather they should be smiling and joyful. And she should have a lot of love for Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) & the Ahlul Bayt (عليه السلام) I believe that if you truly have these two things then you can be a really good Muslim (because if you really have this love then you will pray on time, learn about religion, do all the wajib acts, refrain from sin and overall you will be a good person: being generous, kind, charitable etc). I would like her to be always be happy and smiling, generally a very cute, carefree and playful personality is ideal...

Omg I'm tearing up rn because that is truly my dream woman....

The next point may bring some arguments but I'll try to explain it properly. I would prefer it if I earned all the money for the house and she stayed at home and looked after children. And the money? It would be both of ours and I would provide everything she needed since she would be working hard too. She would not be oppressed or anything, but it's just that after living in a household where my mum stays at home, it's difficult to imagine it any other way and I would like it if my family could be raised in this way too.. For those of you who don't know, I studied child psychology for a bit and I can't express how important it is that children have a warm, safe and loving environment growing up, this is something that I think can only be achieved if the wife stays at home and helps the children grow. I'm sure raising good children is liked by Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) and this would be a good way of doing it...

Ws

Aww! I hope you find her! Ya rab!

How about someone starting a thread about "what is wrong with women"?

"What is wrong with people" might be more interesting and informative.

It will be more fun to segregate that into men and women. But, yeah, that could be a third thread.

This reminds me of what I read from this book (about the life of Imam Khomeini):

Imam believed the role of the mother to be very determining and gave a lot of importance to the upbringing of children.  Sometimes when we would joke and say that a woman must always stay at home, he would say: “Don’t think little of the home; the upbringing of children is no small matter.  If somebody is able to raise one person (properly), she has done a great service to society.

He believed that the upbringing of a child could not be accomplished by a man.  This was a job specifically designed for a woman because a woman is kinder and the order of a family also had to be based on kindness and love.

Oh man I swear you told me say 'women'. I was about to correct it but thought there was some wisdom behind it.

Ahaha brother thank you for your selflessness and consistent efforts to try and not let me miss out on receiving some recognition for the creation of this list, but it's alright brother, YOU were the lone writer of the list so it's okay if you don't mention my name. Yes, you may have gotten a few ideas from me though. As for the title, hehe I just stated it as a random idea for YOU, thought YOU would edit it if needed :hahaha:. YOU did well though, I applaud YOU for this.

Who challenged women though? This whole thread is just entertainment for us, don’t see a challenge

l disagree because it is the women who feel 'challenged'.

Men are not 'challenged' only mistaken when they believe they can comprehend continually crazy characters.

Women never feel challenged, because they don't have massive fragile egos like our dear brothers do...
