Pearls, Flowers & Blood

Shadows of the petals -
Of the roses from heaven
Falling one after another
Upon the Earth -
Withered and scattered
On the dusty plains
Like pearls on a velvet sky
Red pearls
On a darkened sky.

Pearls of blood
Gushing up
From a tiny throat
Split by an arrow
Swallowed up by the Earth
Fountaining up
Back to the sky
Raining down,
In far away lands
Awakening, reviving
Blooming flowers.
