Do Ahmadyyias believe that Ghulam Ahmed is the reincarnation of Jesus ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) and The Mahdi at the same time?? That makes no sense. Because Jesus is suppose to come at end Time and if Ghulam came 200 years ago, then doesn’t that prove he isn’t a Prophet?

If Mirza was remotely a man of God then he would not have collapsed in a toilet and died. And he was not. He was a child molester. If you see the dates of the sects that sprang up into existence you will see they all suddenly appear post 1857. That is the year there was uprising against the Brits in India. The British formally organized and created them and Deobandis and Barelvis. The same way the British organized Saudi state and the Wahhabi religion. Divide and rule.

So they still believe he will return?

No, he said Jesus went to India and died a natural death and won't return.  I don't know if all Ahmadis believe that, I suspect some believe him to be Jesus, that's why Mirza Ghulam Ahmad had to give that speech and similarly to what happened according to some hadiths when the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was about to write his will, there was a raucous of noise and so he stopped. Whether or not he went on to dispell those beliefs I don't know. It's like Haille Selassie in the Rastafarian movement, I'm not sure he discouraged people who believed him to be the messiah either.

I did wonder whether it had something to do with British rule which as you say was a large part of why the Deobandis came about. Never knew he died on the toilet, didn't Elvis do the same or is that an urban myth? Funnily enough I'd say Elvis has had a bigger impact on the world than Mirza Ghulam Ahmad.

Being Pakistani myself I don’t know how anyone can believe some weird Indian Man to be “Jesus” and “Imam Mahdi” :hahaha:

Besides the Messiah is suppose to come when the world ends, so it’s been 200 hundred years. I don’t know what the Ahmadi’s think :hahaha:

No, they believe him to be the metaphorical return of Jesus, peace be upon him, according to the Ahmadi home page, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad said Jesus would not return. His return is only symbolic and a signal of the latter days or end times.

Although he did say that he is Messiah reincarnated from himself. These information which you are saying is updated by Ahmedi missionaries due to the fact of criticism upon their belief.
