Aside from the 5 daily prayers for witch you always have to face Mecca, can you face Jerusalem for your other prayers, is it halal? Do even prayers for which you have to face Jerusalem even exist. And while we're on the topic, are there prayers where you don't have to face Mecca?

This may sound stupid to some people, but hey, curiosity isn't a bad thing... most of the time.

If you pray in some parts of Turkey or Cyprus, perhaps, you will inevitably face Jerusalem. If you look on a map you will see Jerusalem comes first in line and after it is Mecca when lined up with some parts of Turkey.

As for not facing Mecca at all, only if you cannot find the Qiblah, I don't know how it works on a plane, I would imagine you cannot face Mecca or even East on a plane.

Salam we don't have a prayer that we face toward Jerusalem

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masjid_al-Qiblatayn?wprov=sfla1

But in Funeral prayer we are not toward Kaaba that  dead body head is toward Kaaba

http://en.mobile.wikishia.net/index.php/Funeral_Prayer

The people that are advertising praying toward Jerusalem are under influence of evangelists or Zionists that accusing Muslim that Muslims are praying toward Petra in Jordan

Sacred city of Mecca : have we got it wrong ? TRACKS (warning it's an evangelist video that with help of wrong informatios from Sunni sources is trying to prove that Muslims are praying toward Petra in Jordan that is insulting to both Sunni & Shia Muslims  )

Salam our intention must be that we are praying toward Kaaba & in plane based on Shia jurisprudence (fiqh) you must pray toward four corner or direction that you assume that is the most true direction.
