Khomeini said in Shārḥ Fusūṣ ʿal-Ḥikām, page 310.

“And by this regard He becomes every quality in every creature (being), and for this it was related that God revealed to Moses that a creature, much more ignoble (or despicable) than you had came, so he took by the leg of a dead dog and then he was alerted by his mistakes, so he left it.”

All right, here's something I see wrong with this hadith. The dead cannot be be Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى), simply based on the fact that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) is Ever-Living and He has no physical body. How could He be a quality of a dead dog? Seems blasphemous but I don't know what was said before the highlighted part.

There is a famous story that Prophet Isa (عليه السلام) & his companions saw a dead dog in street that when Prophet Isa (عليه السلام) asked their opinion about dead dog all of them said bad thing like as it smells & may had a sort of disease &etc but Prophet Isa (عليه السلام) said look as it's sharp white tooths that was a good defender of his master by it's teeth's ,the story that Imam Khomeini (رضي الله عنه) refers to it is same as it that shows you can see best things even in worst things but other people see worst things even in good things just by referring a line in a book without understanding the real message because of their bad mindset like as @Simon the Canaanite that always sees every thing from Imam Khomeini (رضي الله عنه) & Hawza of Qom as bad thing because of grudge of the group against him & hawzaw of Qom that he follows them
