US turned into rogue country after quitting nuclear deal: Zarif

Quote

Zarif also sat with Sputnik to discuss what steps Iran expects from Russia regarding the US arms embargo, as well as how to deal with the United States. The top diplomat also touched upon the issue of how the US has become a "rogue state" and why Saudi Arabia should “wake up".

Asked about Iran's expectations from Russia regarding the draft UN Security Council resolution the US recently sent Russia to extend the arms embargo on Iran, which the JCPOA had stipulated, Zarif said that as you know, even US allies haven’t accepted this project, considering it extremely dangerous.

In a five-page letter, Russia has expressed its position regarding this US step. The United States is a country that violated the JCPOA by withdrawing from the nuclear deal. They violated Resolution 2231. Therefore, the US is not in a position to talk about the JCPOA. Russia, Iran and China have similar positions on that, he added.

Nevertheless, an important result has been achieved: the global community is considering whether it is necessary to recognize the US power over the global banking system or whether there is a need to change it. "We are currently seeing some steps in this direction."

Responding to the question what actions are taken to restore relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia? What results have you managed to achieve? he said, "We are ready to cooperate with Saudi Arabia as two Persian Gulf states. However, it seems that the Saudi authorities are more pursuing to start a war (along) with the United States and benefitting from it.

Iranian, Russian FMs dismiss Bolton’s allegations about Syria

Iranian FM says delivered ‘important’ message to Putin

Quote

Referring to the allegations voiced by Bolton in his book 'The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir', Zarif stressed on Tuesday that Tehran does not believe such comments.

"We think it has nothing to do with the real state of things and the level of cooperation Iran maintains with Russia and Turkey in the interests of peace, stability and accord in Syria," he said, adding that such stories were obviously meant to heighten interest to the book.

"But no one would ever believe these words either in Moscow or in Tehran," he stressed.

Zarif also underlined that Iran and Russia had “agreed to conclude [a] long-term comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement.”

Two warplanes believed to be with the U.S.-led anti-terror coalition intercepted the Iranian passenger jet over the al-Tanf area in southeastern Syria, as the plane was flying on a trip from Iran to Lebanon, Syrian state news agency SANA reported, citing sources at the Syrian Civilian Aviation department.

The warplanes pushed the pilot of the plane to take a steep dive down, which led to injuries among the passengers. However, the plane continued its flight to Beirut, said SANA.

Iran not to leave any hostile act unanswered: Spokesman

Quote

Referring to accepting the responsibility of endangering Mahan Air flight by Bill Urban, spokesman for U.S. Central Command, Mousavi slammed this adventurous and dangerous act and termed it as violation international aviation law and jeopardizing regional peace and security.

Iranian diplomat derided Centcom spokesman’s claims that US military jets conducted a routine air mission in the vicinity of the CJTF-OIR at Tanf garrison in Syria.

Mousavi said that presence of the US forces in Syria and mission of military jets are unlawful, adding that more important is that no one has allowed US to inspect passenger planes with its military jets in the sky.

Such a measure is unlawful, dangerous and playing with lives of innocent people, especially when it was in contrast to the claims that it was at a safe distance, he said.

He said that Iran will pursue the issue through international bodies especially ICAO and will not let US humiliate international law by its bullying.

He warned the US and the Israeli Zionist regime against new adventurism in the region, saying security and stability in West Asia should not be abused as a tool for election campaigns in the US.

Mahan Air passenger plane was on route to Beirut, Lebanon when it was threatened by two military jets.

The pilot of the Iranian plane says when he was talking to the pilots of the fighter jets to ask them to keep distance they had said that they were American.

Although the Iranian plane finally landed in Beirut Airport, some of its passengers were immediately taken to hospital.

Earlier Iran Civil Aviation Organization lodged protest with International Civil Aviation Organization over the US aggression on Iranian passenger plane, calling for urgent action.

Based on Annex 13 to Chicago Convention, the US military jets breached the international convention concerning civil aviation.

Iran Civil Aviation Organization called on the Syrian Government to hold inquiry into the US aggression promptly and precisely.

Several injured after US fighter jets come close to Iranian passenger plane over Syrian airspace

Quote

The incident took place on Thursday involving two warplanes and Mahan Air’s Flight 1152 that had taken off from Tehran and was en route to the Lebanese capital, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) News, the Iranian national broadcaster’s news outlet, reported, citing Syria’s civil aviation authority.

The authority specified the airspace over Syria’s hugely-strategic al-Tanf region as the place where the incident had happened.

The aviation body, however, refused to acknowledge any stopover by the Iranian aircraft as a result of the harassment, saying the plane continued en route to its destination notwithstanding.

In response, the US Central Command said a single F-15 had made a “visual inspection” of the Iranian airliner “in accordance with international standards... to ensure the safety of coalition personnel” at the military base in al-Tanf.

The command added that the US F-15 was on a “routine air mission” in Syria and conducted “a standard visual inspection of a Mahan Air passenger airliner at a safe distance of approximately 1,000 meters”.

“Once the F-15 pilot identified the aircraft as a Mahan Air passenger plane, the F-15 safely opened distance from the aircraft.”

Imam Khamenei: American nation, not others main enemy of US

Quote

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a live televised speech on Friday on the occasion of Eid al-Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice, and noted that the United States should not look for enemies outside the country as its biggest enemy is inside the country, namely the American nation.

He reiterated that the Americans said last year and the year before that there would be a ‘hot summer’ in Iran, while they themselves are now suffering from ‘Hot Summer”.

He also emphasized that the current protests in the US are ‘fire beneath ashes’ that will eventually destroy the ruling system.

Ayatollah Khamenei went on to say that US circles admit failure to achieve their objectives through maximum pressure on Iran.

“The US has always sought to undermine Iranian morale since the advent of the Islamic Revolution,” he stated.

Ayatollah Khamenei noted that the sanctions pursue many objectives, but the main objectives can be categorized in the short-term, mid-term, long-term and side-objectives.

He said that the enemies, as a short-term objective, have targeted the patience of the nation by overestimating difficulties to make the public stand against the establishment.

"The sanctions are also aimed at impeding Iran's scientific progress and also cause the government to fail in economic field," Ayatollah Khamenei continued.

He further noted that the sanctions intend to push the Iranian government to a state of bankruptcy, as the long-term objective.

"The enemies also seek the side-objective of undermining Iran's ties with resistance groups across the region which they have surely failed to achieve," Ayatollah Khamenei said.

He stressed that with this wave of sanctions, the enemies have simultaneously engaged in efforts to distort facts, and added, “Once this distortion and falsifying fails, the sanctions too will fail because this is a battle of wills.”

Pointing to the current situation in the US, the Supreme Leader said, “The United States suffering from social gap, dire economic, managmentl problems makes confusing remarks on others to cover its own domestic problems.”

https://en.abna24.com/news//us-must-be-accountable-for-supporting-terrorist-groups-irans-fm-spox_1059442.html

Quote

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iran’s Intelligence Ministry announced on Saturday that it has arrested the ringleader of a terrorist group known as Tondar which is based in the United States.

Iran has dealt a “heavy and severe blow” to a terrorist group based in the US.

Iran has arrested Jamshid Sharmahd, the alleged ringleader of the Tondar (Thunder) terrorist group, Iran’s Intelligence Ministry added.

Sharmahd, who guided the armed and sabotage acts against Iran from the US, was arrested in complicated operations by the Iranian security forces and is now in the hands of the country’s intelligence ministry, a statement by the ministry said.

The ministry said it will give more details of the arrest later.

Tondar, or the Kingdom Assembly of Iran, also known as Soldiers of the Kingdom Assembly of Iran, is an armed terrorist royalist group seeking to overthrow the ruling government and restore the monarchy in Iran.

Tondar claimed responsibility for the 2008 Shiraz explosion at the Hosseynieh Seyed al-Shohada in which 14 people, including children, were killed and 215 others were injured.

Mohammad-Reza Ali Zamani and Arash Rahmanipour, accused of being members of the terrorist group, were arrested and tried for the bombing. In January 2010, they were executed for waging war against God and attempting to overthrow the Islamic Republic.

Tondar had also plotted for several other terrorist acts in Iran in recent years, including blowing up Sivand dam in Shiraz, detonating cyanide bombs at Tehran book exhibition and explosion of bombs during general ceremonies at late Imam Khomeini’s shrine. All these terrorist plots were foiled by the Iranian security forces.

Iran's Intelligence minister: US supports Sharmahd, others as long as it benefits

Quote

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iran's Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi on Saturday referred to the arrest of Jamshid Sharmahd, ringleader of terrorist group 'Tondar', saying people like him committed a mistake by relying on the US and the Zionist regime, and they both support these people until the time they benefit from them.

He added in a televised speech late on Saturday that Jamshid Sharmahd, the ringleader of the Tondar (Thunder) terrorist group was arrested by the intelligence Ministry's forces and this is not the first complicated operation by the Intelligence Ministry in dealing a blow to the terrorists.

"Earlier, we informed Interpol about this person's crimes in Shiraz, but nothing happened to arrest him," he said.

"Interpol knew that this person was a terrorist, but they did not expose him. Like Mohammad Reza Kolahi-Samadi who lived in the Netherlands for 30 years under a fake title; he was the perpetrator of the terrorist attack in Iran on June 28, 1981, who lived in this country under a false identity and eventually was killed mysteriously, Alavi said.

Despite the fact that the international police were in charge of arresting him, they did not do anything in this regard, which is a sign of the futility of the West's slogan in the fight against terrorism, he said.

Sharmahd, who guided the armed and sabotage acts against Iran from the US, was arrested in complicated operations by the Iranian security forces and is now in the hands of the country’s intelligence ministry, a statement by the ministry said earlier.

Iranian FM: Miscalculations by superpowers led to disastrous consequences

Iranian FM to Emirati counterpart: Let’s think about regional stability

Quote

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Monday said in a virtual lecture that miscalculations carried out by superpowers have led to the disastrous consequences in the world.

He delivered a live lecture named “Characteristics of Transitional Period" through the Instagram social networking service, adding that the miscalculations committed in the process of a new global order, are far more catastrophic than the mistakes that other countries have made.

Referring to the US invasion to Iraq as one of the superpowers’ miscalculations, he stated that once the attack was conducted, there was a lot of ambiguity about it but one thing was very clear; that from the very beginning it was obvious that the move would lead to the growth of extremism in the world.

Extremism has been caused by miscalculations, he said, adding that the major problem that has led to the current sad situation is the lack of understanding and the miscalculation that has led to the mistakes of the regional powers and superpowers.

"We have been experiencing the era for 30 years," the top diplomat said, noting that "we should not predict the time when it will end. It is a long period. The Cold War era lasted about 50 years.

Quote

In the meantime, Zarif in a Twitter message said: “Just had a very substantive, frank and friendly video conversation with UAE FM @ABZayed, discussing COVID as well as bilateral, regional and global situations.”

Iran strongly condemns PGCC’s ‘irresponsible’ statement

Quote

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi vehemently condemned the anti-Iranian statement of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) regarding UN arms embargo.

The reaction by Mousavi came after the PGCC’s Secretariat announced that the council’s newly appointed secretary general had demanded an arms embargo on Iran be extended and levelled several accusations against the Islamic Republic.

In comments on Sunday, Mousavi expressed regret at the unconstructive approach adopted by certain PGCC members vis-à-vis the Islamic Republic of Iran, according to the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

“Unfortunately, it seems that the so-called Persian Gulf Cooperation Council has turned into a spokesperson for some narrow-minded people both inside the council and outside the region, and that the council’s secretariat, swayed by the wrong and destructive policies and behaviour of certain member states, has turned into a mouthpiece for anti-Iran elements,” said the spokesman.
“Indubitably, the United States’ interests are contingent upon further sales of weapons to these countries with such approaches and empty claims,” he said.

“The killing of defenceless people and children in Yemen is a textbook example of wrong policies adopted by certain PGCC members, which have resulted in Yemeni people being killed every day before the eyes of the world by different Western weapons by leaders of this very council,” he said.

Iran warns about Saudi covert nuclear program

Quote

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iranian Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna Kazem Gharibabadi urged International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to conduct a transparent probe into Saudi Arabia's hidden nuclear program and present a report to the members.

He made the request following release of information about the country's move to build yellow cake producing factory.

Noting that Saudi Arabia is implementing a very non-transparent nuclear program, he added that despite the fact that Saudi Arabia is a member of NPT and implementing the comprehensive bilateral safeguards agreement with the Agency, unfortunately, it still refuses to accept the Agency's safeguards inspections, and despite repeated requests by the Agency for several years, it has not amended its obligations so as to allow the inspectors in.

Gharibabadi further stated that Saudi Arabia has no research reactor to seek production of yellow cake, noting that the issue, along with the Saudis' covert actions in the nuclear field and the denial of access to IAEA inspectors, as well as its destabilizing activities in the region, raises concerns about a covert nuclear weapons program in the country.

He reiterated that governments and the IAEA must make it clear to Saudi Arabia that the international community will not accept any deviation from a peaceful nuclear program and will counter it.

If Saudi Arabia seeks peaceful use of nuclear energy, it must accept relevant obligations under the IAEA and act in full transparency, Iran's envoy said.

FM Spokesman rejects fake news on US lifting anti-Iran sanctions

Quote

"According to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and the UN Security Council Resolution 2231, the US is obliged to lift all the sanctions that it has imposed on Iran by exiting the JCPOA," Mousavi said.

Mousavi dismissed the untrue claims as “fake news” that serves unknown goals.

Earlier on Tuesday, a news agency, citing an unknown source claimed that Germany and Britain — two signatories to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal — are opposed to Washington’s push to have the UN Security Council (UNSC) extend a UN arms embargo against Iran, which is slated to expire next month.

To resolve the differences over the issue, the source claimed, Germany, backed by Britain, has put forward an initiative under which the US would temporarily lift parts of the “non-targeted” anti-Iran sanctions, which have largely affected ordinary Iranians, in “a first step.”

Iran's intelligence ministry dismantles five spy teams

Quote

"With the help of God Almighty and round-the-clock efforts of the intelligence forces a number of spies linked to foreign intelligence services of arrogant powers were identified and arrested as the strikes on foreign intelligence services is continuing," the intelligence ministry's counter-intelligence deputy announced.

He noted that the foreign intelligence officers were planning to conduct espionage activities on Iran's nuclear, political, economic, military and infrastructural projects by using various complicated spying methods.

The official pointed out that the spying teams were operating under the auspicious of Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Mossad, as well as those of some European countries related to the recent espionage dossiers, sabotage of infrastructure, projects and intensifying brutal sanctions as well as blocking Iran's access to knowledge and modern technologies and creating problems in the Islamic Republic of Iran's relations with friendly countries, and said that their efforts were in vain due to vigilance of Iran's intelligence force

UNSC rejects US resolution to extend Iran arms embargo

Analysis: Latest broken piece in Trump’s anti-Iranian game "Brian Hook'

US using UN Security Council to destroy it: Iranian FM

Quote

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The United Nations Security Council has rejected a US resolution to extend an arms embargo on Iran that is due to expire in October, as Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed a summit of world leaders to avoid "confrontation" over an American threat to trigger a return of all UN sanctions on the Islamic Republic.

"The Security Council's failure to act decisively in defense of international peace and security is inexcusable," US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a statement on Friday before the Security Council announced the results of the vote.

"Legally speaking, the United States is no position to use the snapback [mechanism]. The three European allies of the United States also explicitly stated at a previous meeting of the UN Security Council that the United States could not use this mechanism," Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told reporters on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

On Thursday, Iran’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York called on the Security Council to withstand the “illegal” and “ill-intentioned” move by the United States to extend the arms embargo on the Islamic Republic.

The US has stepped up attempts aimed at extending the UN arms ban on Iran that is set to expire as part of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which has been endorsed by Security Council Resolution 2231.

Russian President Putin on Friday proposed a video summit with the United States and the remaining parties to the nuclear agreement - Britain, France, China, Germany and Iran - to avoid further "confrontation and escalation" at the United Nations between Washington and Tehran.

"The issue is urgent," Putin said, adding that the alternative was "only further escalation of tensions, increasing risk of conflict - such a scenario must be avoided."

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The resignation of Brian Hook ,Donald Trump’s lead diplomat on Iran and the head of Iran Action Group of the Department of State, was an important development that bears signs to the failure of the White House “maximum pressure” on Iran that has been pursued since the US withdrew from the nuclear deal in May 2018 with the aim to bring Iran to its knees using what Washington diplomats call sophisticated and crippling sanctions.

End of Hook; the defeat of maximum pressure and confusion of White House

“…having failed to collapse Resolution 2231 after over two years of the most brutal ‘maximum pressure’ ever imposed on a nation–including depriving ordinary Iranians of access to medicines and medical equipment amid the deadliest pandemic the world has seen in many decades–the US now hopes to abuse its mal-interpretation of the provisions of the same resolution it abandoned in 2018 to finally destroy it. This deeply malicious US behavior is evident throughout the UN, where it seeks to use the UN itself to effectively destroy the world body,” Zarif wrote in the article, which first appeared on Iran Daily online.

Analysis: US received big blow in intelligence war against Iran

Quote

Tondar; a secret organization aligned with the monarchists

Tondar group was founded in 2004 by Fathullah Manouchehri, also called Foroud Folladvand. Overthrowing the Islamic Republic in Iran within a year was announced to be the key goal of the group. US-based Your TV belongs to Tondar and is responsible to promote its propaganda.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): On August 1, Iran’s intelligence ministry announced detention of the leader of a US-based terrorist group. As more information surfaced, it became clear that the intelligence agents caught in a “complicated operation” the leader of Tondar group Jamshid Sharmahd, also called the Kingdom Assembly of Iran, who runs the militant wing of the terrorist group.

Interpol silence and Iranian intelligence’s astuteness

Mohammad Reza Kolahi Samadi who lived for 30 years in the Netherlands with a fake identity. On June 28, 1981, his planted bomb rocked the headquarters of the Islamic Republic Party’s headquarters in Tehran. He died mysteriously in 2018 in the Netherlands.

On February 23, 2010, the Iranian intelligence forces arrested following an international operation Abdulmalik Rigi, the leader of Jundallah, one of the world’s most ferocious terrorist groups that is supported by the US and Israeli intelligence and carried out several attacks in Iran killing civilians and border forces. In October 2019, Iran also arrested Rohullah Zam, the director of Amad News website and Telegram channel which incited unrest and armed battle against the Iranian government. A secret operation took him out of intensive protection in France supervised by French intelligence.

The US sustains intelligence defeat from Iran

Over the past decades, the Americans spared no chances to deal blows to Iran at home or to its interests abroad. During the past 40 years, Washington imposed on Iran as much pressure as possible through sanctions. Its intelligence community threw their backing behind Iranian and non-Iranian terrorist groups to destabilize Iran.

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) supported any group or institution carrying anti-Iranian agenda, supporting them militarily and financially.

Imam Khamenei: US animosity with Iran dates back to 1953 coup

Quote

"The Islamic Republic of Iran has blocked the way for the United States to re-enter and infiltrate the country, and this prohibition of negotiations is one of the means of closing the way for the United States to enter; This, of course, is very difficult for Americans," Ayatollah Khamenei wrote on his Twitter account on the occasion of the anniversary of the infamous coup

The 1953 coup d'état (known in Iran as the 28 Mordad coup) was the overthrow of the democratically elected government of Iran, and its head of government Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddeq on August 19, 1953, orchestrated by the United Kingdom (under the name 'Operation Boot') and the United States (under the name Pejak Project).

On such a day, a number of the army forces of the oppressive regime, with the cooperation of the United States and Britain, overthrew the government of 'Mohammad Mosaddeq' and re-established 'Mohammad Reza Pahlavi', who had fled Iran.

In recent years, new documents have been published about foreign interference in the coup d'état of August 1953, and some US officials have even acknowledged the direct role of this country and Britain in the coup.

“He [Mossadegh] was also not a Muslim...and I said...he will be slapped and it did not take long that he was slapped [in the 1953 coup] and if he had lasted he would have slapped Islam.” –Imam Khomeini, quoted in 1980

Quote

One day after the August 1953 coup, Fedai’an-e Islam’s newsletter had this to say: “Yesterday Tehran shook under the feet of Army personnel and anti-foreign Muslims. Mossadegh, the bloodthirsty old ghoul, resigned under the devastating blows of the Muslims. ... All the government centres were seized by the Muslims and the army of Islam.”

More information:

Quote

After the 1979 revolution, it became clear that he [Imam Khomeini – ed.] didn’t like Mossadegh and didn’t support him and he had indeed predicted that he’d be “slapped by Islam.”

Furthermore:

Quote

The main clergymen to be used apparently were Ayatollahs Behbehani, Borujerdi, and Kashani (or possibly Falsafi), along with Navvab Safavi and his Fedayan-e Islam "terrorist group" (p. B 21). Apparently the British rather than the CIA had the main connections to these clerical figures (p. B20), presumably through the Rashidian brothers, who were their main agents. ...one of Kashani's sons did broadcast pro-shah messages over Tehran radio on August 19 (p. 71).

Additionally:

Quote

Grand Ayatollah Hossein Borujerdi welcomed the return of the Shah after the coup.  Ayatollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic, never condemned the coup or mentioned Mossaddeq’s name in his writing, sermons or interviews. Once an interviewer asked him about his view of Mossaddeq, he replied “that man was slapped by God,” which implies that CIA and MI6 did God’s work in ousting Mossaddeq. Many clerical and lay lieutenants of Khomeini had welcomed the coup because they considered Mossaddeq’s liberal secularism a threat to their sociocultural dogmas. Khomeini praised Ayatollah Kashani and a number of other clerics who had supported the coup. Hassan Ayat, a radical opponent of Mossaddeq and active participant in the coup, became a close associate of Khomeini’s after the revolution.

Another source:

Quote

A passage from a recently declassified document on the 1953 coup in Iran alleges that senior Iranian clerics received “large sums of money” from U.S. officials in the days leading up to the August 19, 1953, overthrow of Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddeq. ... It reads as follows: “According to reliable reports received on 10th August, the American Embassy had secretly handed over large sums of money to certain influential people, including AYATULLAH BIHBIHANI, the well-known ecclesiastic.” The memo does not indicate what this money was for, but the context certainly implies it was to be used for the coup.

Yet another:

Quote

The furtive and renowned preacher, Hujjatu’l-Islam Muhammad-Taqi Falsafi, has stated in his memoirs that his sermons against the Baha’is took place with the prior consent of Ayatollah Borujerdi and Muhammad-Reza Shah. In an interview on 19 Urdibehesht 1334 [10 May 1955] with a reporter of “Itehad-e Melli” Journal, Falsafi described his meeting with Ayatollah Borujerdi in these words:

Before the blessed month of Ramadan, I went to Qum where I met Ayatollah Borujirdi and found him deeply distressed. He stated, “Now that the situation of the Oil industry has been resolved and the (Communist – ed.) Tudeh Party has been neutralized (thanks to the 1953 coup – ed.)...

This implies that Ayatollah Borujerdi opposed the National Front and Tudeh’s attempt to nationalise the oil industry under Mossadegh.

Besides his supposed cooperation with the Tudeh (alleged mainly by the West), what action did he take that harmed Islam?

Aside from the question of atheism, shouldn’t the clergy have backed the National Front and Tudeh on the question of nationalisation?

Based on the evidence I quoted, at least some elements of the clergy seemingly opposed the nationalisation of the Western oil interests.

News that the U.S. had seized the cargoes of four oil tankers, allegedly carrying Iranian gasoline from the Persian Gulf to Venezuela, conjured images of British privateers — in essence, state-sponsored pirates — attacking Spanish treasure fleets carrying gold, silver and precious stones from the New World back to Europe in the 16th and 17th centuries.

https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2020-08-16/the-u-s-brings-state-sponsored-piracy-into-the-21st-century

Quote

The combined cargoes seized by the U.S. from the four ships — about 1.16 million barrels of Iranian gasoline, according to the complaint for forfeiture — is worth about $61 million dollars. The funds realized from the sale of the cargoes will in part be directed to the United States Victims of State Sponsored Terrorism Fund. Almost 80% of the claims on that fund are related to the heinous attack on the World Trade Center in 2001. Yet Iran was not implicated in that event.

To my mind, this seems to represent a bit of a contradiction. If one is a practicing Muslim, then one does not seem to be an enemy of Islam, at least not consciously.

Quote

he was trying to secularize country & put communist & anti religion people in every official  position .

According to this well-informed study, the facts run directly counter to the bolded claim:

Quote

The initial U.S. reaction to Mossadegh's appointment was mixed. ... The dispatch lauded his proposed reforms, seeing them as necessary to reduce unrest and counter the appeal of Communism, and it argued that U.S. support for Mossadegh might help him resolve the oil dispute and avoid coming under the domination of “radical leftist elements” in the National Front. ... The CIA station chief in Tehran stated that the new prime minister (Mossadegh – ed.) seemed favorable to the United States and recommended supporting him as a bulwark against the Tudeh. ...

Although Mossadegh had released some Tudeh leaders from prison and allowed Tudeh front organizations to hold rallies that drew 10,000–20,000 participants, he had had other Tudeh members arrested, refused to legalize the party, and rejected other Tudeh demands. ... This embassy study also applauded the establishment of the staunchly anti-Communist Toilers Party and Pan-Iranist Party, which supported Mossadegh. ... The Toilers and other anti-Communist groups thereafter remained a potent source of opposition to the Tudeh, regularly attacking its rallies and vandalizing its facilities. The CIA supported some of these attacks and carried out “black” operations in which provocateurs posing as Tudeh members fomented unrest, sometimes creating an exaggerated impression of Tudeh activity.

In August (1951 – ed.), the CIA reported that the government had become “markedly” more hostile toward the Tudeh, though Mossadegh was reluctant to use force against it. Tudeh newspapers regularly criticized him, especially over signs of compromise with Britain. ... The NIE argued that, although a Tudeh coup was not imminent, the possibility of one would grow if the government did not adopt authoritarian measures. U.S. State Department officials worried that the oil crisis might eventually lead Mossadegh to sell oil to the Soviet Union or seek Soviet assistance. Mossadegh was beset by opposition throughout the spring of 1952. The Tudeh continued to agitate, holding frequent rallies and producing a steady stream of propaganda attacking the oil negotiations and the West. ... The Tudeh then staged a series of strikes and repeatedly clashed with anti-Communist groups after martial law was suspended in mid-August, leading Mossadegh to reinstate it. ...

More ominously, a retired general, Fazlollah Zahedi (a central player in the 1953 coup – ed.), aligned himself with Kashani and other National Front dissidents and began plotting with the British (against Mossadegh – ed.). Tudeh newspapers published dire warnings of a coup plot in September. The Mossadegh government retaliated in mid-October by issuing arrest warrants for several Zahedi associates and breaking diplomatic relations with Britain. ...

The Tehran embassy produced a detailed study of the Tudeh in late October (1952 – ed.), examining its organizational structure, auxiliaries, front organizations, propaganda apparatus, leadership, membership, and tactics. This study estimated that the Tudeh had 6,000–8,000 members in the Tehran area and 15,000–20,000 nationwide, with two to three times that many “sympathizers and fellow travelers.” This estimate was somewhat smaller than the 25,000 reported in the July 1949 CIA study and much smaller than the embassy's October 1951 estimate of up to 35,000. The Tudeh had “highly penetrated” the education ministry and had infiltrated several other ministries. The secret Tudeh network in the army now comprised an estimated 162 junior officers and 260 non-commissioned officers, with an additional 111 Tudeh members in air force training schools. The military was purging these Tudeh personnel, but the party presumably was replacing them. In addition, the embassy's labor attaché reported that pro-Tudeh union strength was growing. The embassy believed the party wanted to avoid or delay using force in its effort to seize power, continuing with its united-front strategy. A subsequent study by the embassy detailed the Tudeh's new campaign against the United States and the Iranian government's recent crackdown on the party, including the temporary closure of all Tudeh newspapers. ...

The CIA produced another NIE on Iran in mid-November (1952 – ed.) that echoed the conclusions of the recent Special Estimate but extended them through the end of 1953, concluding that Mossadegh or another National Front leader would likely remain in power until then. Kashani remained Mossadegh's strongest opponent and most likely successor but probably would not try to oust him. Mossadegh or a successor would increasingly have to use force to remain in power. The Tudeh would likely grow in strength but remain too weak to seize power in 1953. The Soviet Union was unlikely to use military force against Iran. Mossadegh almost certainly wanted to maintain U.S. support. ...

There was no indication that the Tudeh had a paramilitary organization or substantial weapons and ammunition. Consequently, although the Tudeh could mobilize large crowds for rallies and demonstrations, it was not capable of seizing power forcibly. Rather, it would aim to seize power through constitutional means. But only 6 of the 80 current members of parliament had Communist connections, and no more than 10 of Iran's top 200 state officials were “potentially sympathetic” to Communism, and not a single one was a Tudeh member. The Tudeh's main competitor was the National Front, whose ability to come to power was inversely proportional to the government's success in carrying out socioeconomic and political reforms. The National Front (under Mossadegh – ed.) had been encouraging the Pan-Iranists and other anti-Communist groups to attack the Tudeh, and the police were collaborating with these groups.

In any case, sometime in March the CIA was authorized to begin planning a coup. The agency sent $1 million to its station chief in Teheran on 4 April (1953 – ed.) to “bring about the fall of Mossadegh.” Eisenhower gave final approval for the coup on 11 July, though it could have been stopped at any time before it actually occurred on 19 August. Thus, even though the U.S. decision to overthrow Mossadegh occurred in a series of steps from late 1952 through mid-August 1953, the most crucial steps seem to have been taken in March 1953. ...

To pressure Mossadegh, the Shah threatened to leave the country. Kashani, Zahedi, and other opponents of Mossadegh organized raucous demonstrations on 28 February that sharply criticized the prime minister and implored the Shah to remain in Iran. ... On 2 March, the embassy reported that Tudeh leaders were trying to align their party with Mossadegh and were again calling for a united front. Mossadegh rebuffed these demands, and the security forces dispersed Tudeh demonstrations while allowing pro-Mossadegh demonstrations to proceed. ...

The CIA produced a series of estimates of the situation in early March. The first, dated 1 March (1953 – ed.), stated that the Tudeh was working to increase tension “in every possible way” and that a Communist takeover was becoming increasingly likely. The second, dated 3 March, stressed the dire consequences of a Communist takeover. Another estimate that same day stated that the Tudeh was not yet ready to seize power and was seeking a united front with pro-Mossadegh forces; it also stated that Mossadegh remained “the chief barrier to communist control” in Iran. An estimate a week later stated that Mossadegh had rebuffed the Tudeh and had given no indication that he would collaborate with it, though a Communist seizure of power remained possible. This estimate also affirmed that Mossadegh was continuing to purge the officer corps (of Tudeh sympathisers and/or members – ed.) and that a coup attempt was unlikely to succeed.

Mossadegh “unquestionably” recognized the threat posed by the Tudeh, though he might “play along with [it] for the time being,” as Qavam had in 1946. He could be expected to retain firm control over the security forces, resist Tudeh efforts to infiltrate government ministries, and prevent Tudeh demonstrations from getting out of hand. The Soviet Union recently had made overtures toward Mossadegh, but it was “extremely unlikely” he would allow large-scale Soviet penetration of Iran or break with the United States. He was pursuing the traditional Iranian approach of balancing the great powers against one another. He remained popular, and an economic crisis was not imminent. ...

(During the August 1953 coup – ed.) Anti-Mossadegh units gradually subdued loyalist forces and seized control. Mossadegh surrendered the following day. The Tudeh made no real effort to stop these actions.

So the claims that Mossadegh was supporting covertly supporting communism prior to the coup is directly contradicted by internal Western documentation.

Quote

According to Islam, all humans are born Muslim to begin with, before being deviated. You still did not address my question: how can a practicing Muslim be an enemy of Islam?

Quote

his agenda in politics was separating religion from politics

This is true, given his secularist orientation. But religion has been historically used and abused to support the ruling class more often than not: medieval Europe, Umayyads, KSA/Israel, et al. Typically religion is institutionally intertwined with the ruling elite of a particular era, that is, time, place, and circumstance. The secularist, Enlightenment-era, “scientific” movement to separate religion from the state, however misguided or misconceived, was in part driven by the degree to which the ruling class had abused and exploited religion for its own economic interests. In most situations religious minorities, including the Shia, would benefit from a pluralistic society that accepts and tolerates religion but is secularist at the official level, as was the case in postcolonial India until the rise of the BJP/RSS, a religiously driven Hindu-fascist/-nationalist milieu. By contrast, during the Cold War the IRI repeatedly criticised the USSR and supported parallel efforts to the Western-led campaign for the Afghan mujahideen, yet the USSR did not cut off ties with the IRI, maintained a discrete and indulgent posture toward Imam Khomeini, and opposed American efforts to militarise the Persian Gulf. Additionally, some high-ranking Iranian officials admitted in the late 1980s that Muslims could practice their faith relatively freely in the USSR, and that the Soviets were mainly repressing Western-financed Wahhabi–Salafi groups in the Central Asian republics of the USSR.

Quote

making a balance between America & soviet union & makes Iran as neutral zone between conflicting sides

Didn’t Imam Khomeini adopt the same general policy in order to safeguard the Islamic Revolution from both Western and Eastern infiltration?

Quote

but in his last days he couldn't hold this balance that by more favoring communists & Tudeh  caused his fall.

The evidence I provided and quoted seemingly disproves this contention. To the end he resisted the Tudeh, the Shia clergy turned on him or were never sympathetic to begin with, the Tudeh refused to support him, and the CIA/MI6 backed General Zahedi, the clergy, and the Shah against him. At the time the Judaeo-Christian West supported Islamic forces against secular nationalism and Marxism-Leninism at home and abroad, including in Iran, as a means to blunt the appeal and/or influence of the “godless” (atheistic) Soviet-inspired or -influenced ideologies. Yet today PressTV and other Iran-based media, press organs, etc. criticise the Western-led coup of August 1953 against Mossadegh, even though the clergy at the time supported it and regarded the Shah as being less hostile to Islamic interests than the National Front and/or the Tudeh. I don’t think people should engage in historical revisionism, even doing so supports their group’s interests, whether ideological or otherwise.

Quote

also being opportunist for safeguarding religion & country  is a positive matter but it's  negative if you be an opportunist  just for benefit of yourself or a certain group in exchange  of causing damge to religion & people  of country .

Well, even observant Shia Muslims act to further their own personal and collective interests, which are based on Islam and/or Islamic interests. In their case personal and collective interests are aligned with Islam, so your statement seems misleading. In regard to patriotism, from the viewpoint of Shia Muslims nationalism is only useful if it helps Islam, so the interests of the “country” isn’t really comparable to the interests of Islam. In supporting the 1953 coup the Shia clergy were not protecting the country in and of itself, but protecting the country as a base of Shia Islam and Islamic interest(s).

Analysis: Consequences of US failure to extend Iran arms embargo in UNSC

Quote

Victorious Iran; strategic impasse for America

Failure in the Security Council by all means can be considered a complete political defeat for the US and its strategy of maximum pressure on Iran after Trump's withdrawal from the nuclear deal, and a victorious outcome for the Islamic Republic's strategy of not completely withdrawing from the nuclear deal while taking steps in the direction of reducing its commitment.

The end of soft power and the historical isolation of the White House

Looking from another perspective, one should recognize that US failure to extend the arms embargo on Tehran indicates that the so called “super power” fame title is gradually and surely fading away from its previous status.
