Qur'an with German Translation? (HELP)

Recommended Posts

Hi! One of the closest persons in my life have Alhamdulillah reverted back to the truth faith, Islam after spending some time of their life as an atheist due to confusions with the religion which are totally clear to her now. MashaAllah she's a better Muslim now and having an extreme urge to learn more and read Qur'an and understand it. Since she is best at German language, can anyone from Europe or Germany please recommend some place where she can get Qur'an with best German translation?? Or any online store? Please help us out with this since she is very eager to learn Holy Qur'an's message and guidance.

JazakAllah.

They are available in their multitudes on Amazon, but I don't know what the translator's ideology would be, they would certainly not be of the school of Ahlul Bayt. There is one by a gentleman named Murad Wilfred Hofmann which seems useful. There are also some apps too if they are in fear of facing trouble from family by having a Qur'an out in the open.

Now I was told your Qur'an is the same as the other Qurans.

There is^

I encourage you and/or your fried to investigate how good it is. And reputably the best translations are in English. Maybe she should learn English or Arabic soon. She also needs commentary.

Haha, what do you mean 'your Qur'an'?

I think you are confusing me for the Shi'a brothers on this forum. I'm very non-denominational in my outlook.

Anyway, what I'm saying is that, let's say, the Laleh Bakhtiar translation, it is in places considerably different to the Hilali-Khan translation. Then you have the bits in the footnotes which can be as influential to the reader as the main text.

I see. I thought you might mean the translation of the meaning in itself might be different - and it might. The commentary yes. It is best to read several different ones. Just so long as one checks the list online (with English versions) that it doesn't drop to the "not accepted" line.

yes, I am concerned about the ideology of the translator. And I'd prefer one translated by a lover of Ahl ul Bayt. She's not facing trouble by family so she can keep a copy.

The link you mentioned is a website run by Ahmadiyya community. They're not considered to be Muslims.
