Salam both of articles shows their fear from Iran ,that both British & Americans simultaneously spread such lies in name of leaked confident  informations the only truth is that  Americans evacuted their diplomats from fear of any new hostage case like taking hostage of  American Embassy in Iran  or  are trying to show it like a hollywood movie that during evacuation their marines will come to help remained diplomats.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Commercial airliners flying over the Persian Gulf risk being targeted by “miscalculation or misidentification” from the Iranian military amid heightened tensions between the Islamic Republic and the U.S., American diplomats warned Saturday, even as both Washington and Tehran say they don’t seek war.

Surely it's the Americans who have a track record of incompetence in that department?

An explosion has reportedly taken place near the Green Zone close to the embassy area on Sunday.

Rockets landed in the Iraqi capital in the vicinity of the United States embassy on Sunday, Sky News Arabia reported citing its source.

Iraqi authorities have not yet commented on the incident. However, Reuters cited two Baghdad-based diplomatic sources as saying that they heard the blast not far from the fortified Green Zone — the area that hosts government buildings and foreign embassies.

Iraqi commander: US anti-Iran pressure sign of idiocy

An Iraqi commander says the United States’ increased pressure and threats aimed at Iran indicate Washington’s “new idiocy” and confusion.

Referring to the US's ongoing military deployments in the Persian Gulf region, Jazairi said, “America’s new idiocy in the region shows they (the Americans) are yet to learn from past experiences and from history and think... that Iran is a quarry within reach.”

“All that’s happening,” he added, “shows the obvious chaos in American policies.”

Jazairi said things would proceed in Iran’s favor because the country enjoyed not only domestic unity but also regional allegiances.

“Should anything happen in the region,” he warned, however, “we will certainly be adopting our own appropriate approach as [part of] the Islamic resistance.”

Adel al-Jubeir repeats baseless accusations against Iran

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir made baseless accusations against Tehran at a Sunday press conference.

He accused Tehran of sponsoring terrorism and interfering in Arab countries’ internal affairs while claiming that Riyadh wants “peace and stability”.

Saudi Arabia does not want a war with Iran but will respond with strength and determination if the other side decides to start one, he added.

The Iranian government “is not looking for stability or security in the region,” he said, claiming that the Iran-backed Houthis also were behind a drone attack on Saudi oil installations last week.

“You're still deluded after 1,500 days, isn't that enough? It's time for you to stop your crimes against #Yemeni people. You can't hide your weakness behind such claims,” wrote Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi on Twitter on May 16 in response to Al Jubeir’s same allegations against Tehran.

These deceptions are part of a dangerous game being run by Bolton in which Israel is apparently playing a crucial role. That should prompt some serious questioning as to Bolton’s claims and the role of the alleged secret U.S.-Israeli understandings.

The link above gives some detailed explanations as to how the Israelis have been providing the Americans with dodgy intelligence in order to ramp up the military pressure on Iran.

The article below makes the opposite case, that the Israelis are against war, for the following reason:

Mr. Netanyahu in particular, who was accused by some of encouraging the 2003 invasion of Iraq, is loathed to be awarded this unhappy accolade once again.

“My take is that the Iranians saw an attack coming and they prepared to strike back and that caused alarm in the White House and particularly with the president,” said Trita Parsi, founder of the National Iranian American Council, who now teaches at Georgetown University.

“The line sold to Trump by Bolton and Bibi Netanyahu and Mohammed bin Salman is he could strike Iran, show US dominance, and not risk anything. Iran showed it was preparing to strike back. Trump is smart enough to know that a war would be devastating, and not just for his political interests.”

Dozens of crew members have been rescued after abandoning two oil tankers hit by explosions in the Gulf of Oman.

Iran said it had rescued the 21 crew members on board the Kokuka Courageous and the 23 on the Front Altair.

The cause of the explosions in one of the world's busiest oil routes remains unclear and both vessels are still afloat.

Supposedly this is an Iranian navy vessel taking off an unexploded limpet mine.

Two questions:

  1. Why do Americans use such poor video technology?
  2. Why do the Iranians need to send a big boat full of people on what should be a covert mission? After all if they had done the previous attacks they're able to get in and out without being seen.

Iranian state TV says Revolutionary Guards forces have seized a foreign tanker with 12 crew accused of smuggling oil.

Thursday’s report says the tanker was taking fuel from Iranian smugglers to foreign customers and was intercepted south of Iran’s Larak Island in the strait of Hormuz, a vital route for oil shipping.

The TV did not identify the tanker or say which country the crew were from, but said it was intercepted on Sunday after issuing a distress call.

OK, it's only carrying a million litres of oil. Which is only a few thousand barrels of oil As I understand it. So more symbolic than anything else.

Not 'shot down' but 'knocked down', if it happened at all.

For a good review of what happened 18July -for info available- see:

https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/29063/marine-anti-drone-buggies-on-uss-boxer-knocked-down-threatening-iranian-drone

ABC News, NYC, has confirmed most of this.

lRI FM Zarif says he has no info on any lost drone.

IRl 'warship' was within "500 feet" of US ships the same day.

Iran has seized two oil tankers – one registered in the United Kingdom, the other in Liberia – in the strait of Hormuz, marking a dramatic escalation in the worsening standoff in the Gulf.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard claimed to have taken the British-flagged Stena Impero into port, and Iranian officials claimed it had drifted out of shipping lane and turned its satellite locator off.

COMPANY STATEMENT - STENA IMPERO - 2345BST

19th Jul 2019

Further to our earlier statement (1840BST), Stena Bulk and Northern Marine Management can confirm that Swedish-owned vessel Stena Impero (built 2018, 49,683 DWT) is no longer under the control of the crew and remains uncontactable.

Soon after the vessel was approached by unidentified small naval craft and a helicopter during her transit of the Strait of Hormuz in international waters at approximate 1600 hrs BST today, the vessel suddenly deviated from her passage to Jubail and headed north towards Iran.

The vessel was in full compliance with all navigation and international regulations. The vessel is commercially managed by Stena bulk of Sweden.

London (Reuters) - The British operator of an oil tanker seized by armed guards in the Gulf said the vessel, the Stena Impero, was in full compliance with all navigation and international regulations.

The tanker was boarded by armed guards earlier on Friday. Iran’s state news agency IRNA quoted a military source as saying the vessel had turned off its tracker, ignored warnings from the Revolutionary Guards and was sailing in the wrong direction in a shipping lane.

“There are 23 seafarers onboard of Indian, Russian, Latvian and Filipino nationality,” said Erik Hanell, President and Chief Executive of the operator, Stena Bulk.

“There have been no reported injuries and the safety and welfare of our crew remains our primary focus.”

All true, The action is really unprecedented. I think the United Kingdom is standing on very shaky ground when it comes to International maritime as well as EU law.

The problem is there is noone who is willing to stand up to the United Kingdom and enforce the law. Who is going to do it ? The EU ? Hahaha.  Spain protested, which is basically a paper tiger (which is what the EU is at this point) because noone is willing to take any meaningful action. Just filing paperwork is not action.

That is why Iran is having to make this unprecedented move of seizing the United Kingdom tanker. It is the only way it sees to get it's rights under International law enforced.

It seem like we are moving into a very dangerous phase in history where countries feel that the only way to get their rights is by taking unilateral action. If this continues, it will definitely lead to a global conflict unless cooler heads prevail. I don't see that happening anytime soon. Trump may have started it, but it seems there are many countries that are willing to follow his lead. The United Kingdom is one of them, at this point.
