Asalaam Alaikum,

Just a quick question because many of us are unaware of this issue. When are we exactly required to stop eating sehri. Can we eat till we hear azaan?
Is it ok to do brush after sehri? any time during day?

Thanks
Wasalaam

I don't know the answer to your first question, I've always stopped eating before fajr time, but for the second, keeping your mouth clean while fasting is recommended, but you must take extra care to not swallow water or toothpaste.

Suhur technically ends at Fajr, and there is no real thing as Imsak timing, but it is highly recommended that we stop fasting before Fajr as precaution, as our Fajr is calculated and may not be accurate, hence Imsak.

When fasting one should have Imsaak or stop eating some time before True dawn.
Thus some time before Fajr.
In a hadith Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said the time between those to moments is the time it would take to read 50 verses from the Qur'an.

Some people choose 30 minutes, some 20, some 10.

If you are in doubt then choose the option you feel sure about; for example, 30 minutes.
