“Al-ʿIqd al-Farīd” (“The Unique Necklace”), v. 4, p. 123:

Omar said to Am'r, when he arrived from Egypt: “You have went by the biography of lovers.” Am'r replied: “By God, I wasn't arm pitted by slaves, nor had I been held by whores in napkins of menses!” Omar said: “By God, that wasn't what I asked you about. And indeed, the chicken checks in the ash, and places its eggs for other than the male, and the egg is attributed to its knock.” (3) And Omar stood up and exited. Am'r said: “The commander of the 'faithful' had been obscene to us!”

Footnotes: (3): “The mother of Am'r was a singer (or escort): and other than one man entered on her, and Am'r was attributed to Al-A'as for suspicion in him.”

Commentary: when he spoke about the napkins & the menses, and the ‘arm-pitting’ of slaves - he was referring to Omar’s mother, which was an Abyssinian slave, as Ibn Al-Kalbi says in “Mathalib Al-Arab,” page 88:

imgonline-com-ua-twotoone-1-C1a3d-Fa3-Bz

As for the egg & its knock, this is in reference to Amr’s mother, which, as the researcher & commentator of the book exclaimed, was a singer, and other than one man entered on her, and Am’r was attributed to his father, when the the latter wasn’t his real father.

Moreover, the word that Am'r used against Omar was fuhsh or (فحش), here's what our Holy Book says about fuhsh and the people that promulgate it:

(24:19)

Indeed, those who like that immorality should be spread [or publicized] among those who have believed, will have a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter. And Allah knows and you do not know.

The word used in this verse is 'fahisha,' the same word that Am'r used against Omar, and Allah says that whomever publicizes or promulgates it, will have a painful punishment in this world and the hereafter.

Well, you'll find plenty of trash talk there too...

' ‘Urwah ibn Mas‘ood, who came as a negotiator on behalf of the mushrikeen at al-Hudaybiyah, said to the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): By Allah I see faces, and I see a mixture of people who are most likely going to flee and desert you. Abu Bakr said to him: Suck the [part of a female organ] of al-Laat! Would we flee and desert him? He said: Who is that? They said: Abu Bakr.

Narrated by al-Bukhaari (2581)

^^^ good one oh siddiq !

Let's  turn this into a thread of the companions and the followers calling each other nasty names , tribal bragging and slugging insults

Please moderators it's for historical reasons only !

There’s so many of them. In some they even get quite violent towards each other. For example, one where Abu Bakr hit Aisha so hard, that she couldn’t even breath but couldn’t move because she was at that time on the bed next to the sleeping Prophet..

Is anyone else familiar with the hadith where if a person bragged then the companions were told bite their father's [male organ]?

'It was narrated from Ubayy (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man boasted of his tribal lineage, and Ubayy told him to bite his father’s male member, and they said: You were never given to obscene speech! He said: We were instructed to do that. (By the Prophet, peace and blessings upon him.)

Narrated by Ahmad (35/142); classed as Hasan by the commentators on al-Musnad and as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami‘.

To me it sounds like a companion was caught out speaking inappropriately and they tried to get away with it by saying a higher authority said it was okay to speak like that. Or am I wrong? I could be wrong, but then, why would the Prophet of God support such language?

And to think, according to Bukhari she was only a child when this is alleged to have happened.

Good observation, I never thought of that.

Omar said: “Two things in the Age of Ignorance: one makes me cry, and one makes me laugh. The one that makes me cry; is that I had taken a daughter of mine to bury her alive and I was digging the hole for her, while she was removing the dust off my beard, not knowing what I’m planning for her; then when I remember that I cry.

And the other one, is that I used to make a God (idol) of dates that I put beside my head, to guard me during the night, then (If) I woke up in a well state I would eat it, and whenever I remember that I laugh at myself.”

(Adwaa' al-Bayaan, volume 9, page 63).

Omar said: “I wish, I was a sheep: fattened by my owners to their hearts’ desire. Thereupon, when I became as fat as I could be, people they liked would visit them, and they would turn part of me into roast meat and part into jerky. Then, they would eat me, and push me out in the form of feces. This way, I would never have been a human.

Omar was used to going to someplace to urinate in. And it had a window in the wall, that had a stone or a bone on it, so he used to 'wipe up' his (spot of urination) with it, and then he does the ritual ablution - and no water touches him.

(Musnad Ibn al-Jaʻd, volume 1, page 308, tradition 146).

2008 ― The Prophet said: “The killer of Ammar is in hell.

'Al-Hakim Nishapuri said: “This tradition is authentic.

(Al-Mustadrak, volume 3, page 387).

A'bu Al-Ghadiyah (the killer of Ammar) said: “I heard Ammar insulting Othman in Medina.

Al-Albani said: “And this is an authentic tradition, and the narrators are from Muslim.

(Silsalat al-Ahadith as-Sahiha, volume 5, page 18-19, tradition 2008).

  1. The Prophet said: “The killer of Ammar is in hell.
  2. Ammar cursed Othman.
  3. A'bu Al-Ghadiyah killed Ammar.
  4. Ammar is going to heaven and A'bu Al-Ghadiyah is going to hell.
  5. Profit?

If cursing Othman was a sin, the Prophet wouldn't have testified that the killer of Ammar was in hell, even though he [Ammar] had cursed Othman!

Especially, when...

‘A man came and spoke negatively of Ali and Ammar in the presence of Aisha to which Aisha said: I shall not tell you anything about Ali but as for Ammar, I heard the Holy Prophet say that if he is provided with two options, he opts for the better one.

(Musnad Ibn Hanbal, volume 41, page 322, tradition 24820).

Prayer in Egypt & intermixing between men and women (!)

Is this what Umar permitted? I thought he was quite the opposite and had women pray in a different room to men, unlike the practice during the Prophet's time and the caliphate of Abu Bakr which was to be stood behind men.

The first video is super weird though.

Salam maybe they were against it but their innovations in Namaz leads to it & you can’t see such weird acts in Shia communities & we pray same as each other in any place of world but all 4 schools are now completely different from each other in any region even between one specific Sunni school we can see different styles for praying in every region & country.

Abdullah ibn Burāydāh said:

I entered with my father on Muawiya, and my father sat on the bed, food was brought, and we ate... then we drank with Muawiya, and he gave my father, he (the father) said: "I hadn’t drank it, since the Messenger of Allah forbade it." Muawiya said: "I used to be the most beautiful of the young men of Quraysh, and I didn’t find anything more flavorful (pleasurable) than milk or an eloquent/good person talking to me."

Status: authentic (strong, as said) and on the authority of Rijal Al-Sahih.

(Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal, volume 38, page 25-26, tradition 22941).

Ibn 'Abi Shayba distorted the tradition and removed the "I hadn’t drank it, since the Messenger of Allah forbade it." part from it, which I underlined.

(Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba, volume 16, page 79, tradition 31201).
