I’ve heard recently, (scientifically) that the molecules of gold have an effect & impact on the man in physics and energy - which 'stimulates' him into acting effeminately, and/or 'womanly.'

And from my humble point of view, I’ve had always sighted & 'considered' men who wear a lot of gold (e.g., kings...) as, somewhat effeminate.

Nowadays, you’d probably not see monarchs, kings & princes wearing tons of gold, as you would’ve in the Middle Ages, for example - but if you took a look at some of their portraits, you’d believe in this scientific theory.

For instance, search for men wearing gold on Google, and tell me how you felt looking at them.

Hello.

It’s forbidden in:

“Jami` at-Tirmidhi,” volume 4, page 297, tradition 1720:

The Messenger of Allah said: “Silk & gold are forbidden upon the men of my nation - and are permitted on the women.”

“Ilal Al-Shara'I,” page 341-342, chapter 57:

Imam J'afar 'Al-Sadiq said: “A man doesn't wear gold, nor does he pray (while wearing it) - for it’s the 'cloth' of the people of hellfire.

The Messenger of Allah said to Imam Ali: “I love for you, what I love for myself. And I hate for you, what I hate for myself - So, don't wear a golden ring, for it’our 'adornment' in the hereafter, and don't wear crimson, for it’s of the 'cloth' of Iblis, and don’t ride a red horse/animal, for it’s of the [animals that Iblis rides], and don’t wear silk, so God doesn’t burn your skin in the day of resurrection.

Where it is written in Qur'an that gold is forbidden for men ?

The way of prayer is not mentioned in the Qurʾān - the number of prostrations & rak’aat is also not mentioned. So, if you’re a Qur'ānist, then I don’t know what to tell you, I suppose you do your prayers by meditation (and/or contemplation)?

The Holy Qurʾān itself says to follow the teachings and holy traditions, that came with the interpretation, exegesis and meaning of the holy book:

Allah certainly favored the faithful, when He raised up among them an apostle, from among themselves to recite to them His signs, and to purify them, and to teach them the book and wisdom, and earlier they had indeed been in manifest error.

(3:164)

and it says:

O' you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result.

We only learned how to pray and prostrate through the traditions, that you seem to deny - not through The Holy Qurʾān.

And what Allah restored to His Messenger from the people of the towns - it is for Allah and for the Messenger and for [his] near relatives and orphans and the [stranded] traveler - so that it will not be a perpetual distribution among the rich from among you. And whatever the Messenger has given you - take; and what he has forbidden you - refrain from. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.

The prohibition of wearing gold for men is even a consensus of all sects.

Yes, that’s exactly what I said, when I mentioned the works of other sects, and ours. But, this person seems to be a Qur'ānist - or an 'Omari, as our beloved sheikhs call them - because they followed the principle of Omar, “Sufficient for us is the book of Allah.” (hasbuna kitab'ullah).

The irony is that the decision to follow only the Book of Allah is actually ijtihad instead of following the Book of Allah which states multiple times to obey Allah AND the Messenger (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) which means to follow the Qur'an AND the explanations of the Messenger (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). The Book AND the Wisdom.

Yep, it’s ironic, funny & sad at the same time. I’ve heard recently, that a ‘scholar’ in London of the aforesaid ‘sect,’ made a ruling: that you could do your prayer by ‘contemplation!’

(e.g., you could do as much prostrations as you want, and/or recite whichever verse...) - quite laughable & hilarious!

Even, some of the traditionalist sects, when they get trapped and confuted, they refrain to using the sentence: “Is so-and-so in the Qur'ān?” - I’ve seen multiple non-Qur'ānists using it when trapped in a debate - as to runaway. I’ve also seen people doing the hit and run style in debates, alongside the usual escaping, interrupting, shouting and insulting. Shame!

Exactly! But when a Christian tells them something is not in the Qur'an then all of a sudden they emphasize the importance of ahaadith narrations again.

You must be talking about Fitna corner, Ego corner or Takfiri corner AKA Speakers corner..

In sunnism according to the Shafi madhab a gold layer as decoration on a watch for example is allowed as long the amount is so little that it is impossible to take it of by melting it without damaging the watch.

It is not in Qur'an that gold is haram for men. It is only in hadeeth.

And it is not in Qurʾān that you have to pray five times.

Also, go ahead and eat with your left hand, because it’s also not in Qurʾān.

Also, bribery, gossip, music, masturbation, blood, procuring, envy, gambling, cannibalism, necrophilia, cremation and mutilation are also not mentioned in detail...

Eating from left hand is haram ?

The jurists I’ve found, say that it’s not haram - it’s makruh (detested) to do so.

Frankly I have searched thoroughly for why Gold is haram on men, but we don’t have sources. The only actual source we have is a very weak hadith by Imam Hussein I believe. No other hadith or source whatsoever.

My analysis to this is we took the impermissibility of wearing Gold from Sunnis. They focus their hadiths that during the invasions of Omar. He ordered people to give him the gold because it is impermissible to wear. (Maybe so he can take them for himself Allah knows best).

all these things about cells or to be humble are just a bunch of cr*p that can be refutes by a 10 year old.

of course I am not saying wear gold, I don’t do that because in the end I follow the fatwa of our scholars.

But also we have a lot of fatwas regarding gold and also silk, that are confusing, because they are not haram in certain cases that make their impermissibility questionable.

If you get angry it means that your Nafs is getting stronger than you. The purpose of life is that you should be in total control of your Nafs. If wearing gold or silk make you feel prouder than definitely it is haram, because feeling proud means your Nafs is controlling you.

Ignore me.

Actually, it's present in eight sources (I've found so far). And in all of them, there isn't one tradition, by 'Al-Imam 'Al-Hussein.

'Al-Khoei authenticated many of the sources here.

I said I believe which I wasnt sure of.

8 sources great, how many of them are Musnad?

Why is holding on to gold and silk permissible but wearing them not permissible? They are all interesting questions

example: you can put gold in your pockets or whatever but not wear it.

you can cover yourself with silk covers but not wear it. BUT you can also wear clothes 90% silk 10% cotton
