Salaam everybody:

I am looking for volunteers to join the ShiaChat Development Team. The ideal candidate is somebody who is relatively active, interested in site improvement ideas, and is collaborative in nature. It's a low key, relatively low stress, not intimidating, and completely voluntary position, and you need only participate within the scope of your capabilities and interests. No technical skills required. It's a lot of fun, and lets you see the cutting edge of what we plan for the site, long before others do!

Any other questions, or if you are interested in joining, PM me.

Interested candidates will be reviewed by mods and admins before selection.

Below is the official list of Dev Team Roles and Responsibilities:

Development Team Roles and Responsibilities

1. The Development Team are a group of distinguished ShiaChat members who are focused on improving the quality, functionality, accessibility, structure, and organization of the ShiaChat webforum. They are creative, thoughtful, and devoted members with broad and inclusive visions.

2. Team members will be selected by general consensus of current moderators and administrators, and will be bestowed a green badge upon selection.

3. Team members will not have access to Admin or Moderator site functions, however, they will be given special exclusive access to a "Shiachat.com Development Forum", where they can share their visions and ideas with administrators and moderators.

 4. The main duties of team members will include the carrying out of various tasks and projects set forth by moderators or administrators, to serve an advisory role to administrators concerning site issues or to discuss creative ideas for site improvement.

 5. A member may be removed from the team at full discretion of an administrator after either 1) resignation of a member, 2) a long period of inactivity, 3) if the member is facing any significant disciplinary action.

Active members are welcome. If you do not log in to ShiaChat at least one day a week, then you probably are too busy to be a Development Team member.
