I'm sorry if this may end up being long but I have nobody to go to and I am finding things really difficult.

My mum is being really harsh on me and she doesn't care. She takes the mic and is always careless. She treats my cousins better than she treats me. She never listens to me and is always causing problems and involving other members of the family by exaggerating. I have really had enough. I have already had a rough year and failed in my studies and was kicked out of uni. I just don't know how to tell her because she would make a big deal out of it and start blaming me when she knows that none of it was my fault. I hate being at home and I have not been living in peace at all.

I really need help

Generally, universities will look compassionately on students who have had extenuating circumstances that have compromised their marks. There should have been a process in place which would have allowed you to alert them to any problems and for them to counsel you about your options.

I spoke to them and they said since it is family related then they can't do anything about the decision plus my mum wouldn't help me in any way

You could show the letter where they stated this to your mother, if the issue came up to show that it was not your problem. You don't need to reveal specifics, but I know of cases elsewhere that family bereavements etc. have been grounds for giving students a second chance.

You need to tell that to her some day

Do you have this thing called Education councilling ? That could be very helpful at your situation

And last I tell this to everyone who say they are depressed, Go to a Theraphist before it becomes worst. I have been through very bad phases and it is the best way to comeback to normal life
