Hajj 2018

This is an enquiry on doing Hajj with a sunni group South East Asians (no shia group goes from where I reside)

Is there any advice on things like

where to do sajdah can we join them n do on carpet if need be. basically how to get around the sajdah part? can we pull out tissue and use? What to do?

anything in particular to note about tawaaf or anything else as this is coming from someone who has never even done umrah or ziyarat etc n come from a mix of sunni shia family.

is it also alright to use borrowed white clothes from others to be used in state of ihram where I do not know the status of the khums payment on it.

any references to free pdf books on this or sharing your personal experience on this would be greatly appreciated. The QnA section of the sistani website in relation to hajj has very few QnAs.

Many thanks.

Thank you for your reply.

I understand technically what can be used for sajdah but wanted to know what is practically done under the watchful eyes of Saudis.

I have more questions also e.g. about footwear do n donts during ihram. I heard you can't wear sport shoes for ladies as you are not allowed to cover whole feet. What's the ruling in this regard. What if those sports shoes have hole in them for air are such types ok?

Hope someone can also give their personal input.

Many thanks.

if you see that you are in danger you can do Taqiya

Q: Some caravans clerics have told Hajjis that they do not use the Turbah during Hajj's journey. Therefore, it has been widely seen that the Hajjis do not even use Turbah in hotels that are all Shiites and prostrate on the carpet. Does this work? Sharia law is correct or not?

Answer: Mistake, prostration on other than what is corret for prostaration is not permissible except in Taqiya

Question: What is the decree of prostrate on the carpet inside the Harmain and mosques? Given the fact that if you use Turbah or paper, or a mattress, you can get fingertips?

A: There is no obstacle to using a rug from leaf , and it is common for Sunnis to throw this in various ways.

Question: In the mosque of Al-Haram and the al-Nabi mosque and other mosques in Mecca and Medina, some places are built and some are not built with stone, is it necessary to go to a congregation or Furada prayer to prostrate on the stone or to Can you prostrate on the carpet?

Answer: If you do it alone and is not necessary, you should not prostrate  on the carpet. And if the congregation does it, its judgment is revealed from previous answers.

Question: Whether you can prostrate on the carpet when attending the congregation prayers of the Mosque of Al-Haram and the al-Nabi mosque or other mosques, and if it is necessary to restore it if it is prostrate on the carpet, do you need it?

Answer: The prostration on carpet in the cases that it is necessary for the sake of taqiya is not obstructed, and the judgment of necessity and unnecessary restoration passed in answer to 864.

Thank you for your reply

The answer seem a bit confusing for me though. I basically am looking for the rulings of Ayatoallah Sistani and I have emailed them twice but have not got any response.

So confused. :(
