Syed Mumtaz Hussain Rizvi who is an engineer by profession and a PhD student has been missing after he left home a week ago on 23rd Jan2018.

All security agencies have failed to tell the family about his whereabouts. Mumtaz Rizvi remained a close aide of Dr. Mohammad Ali Naqvi founder of Imamia Students Organisation.

This is yet another case of a notable Pakistasni shia being taken into illegal and undeclared custody.

Around 30 Shia mourners were picked up earlier this year by law enforcers in plainclothes a few days after they returned from Karbala, Iraq.

In 2016 alone more than 700 people went missing in Pakistan, most of them Shias.
