Is President Buhari A Muslim?! Islamic Movement Suffers Rights Violation More Than Any Group In Nigeria

Quote

” In this case the minority Shoots and members of the Islamic Movement were discriminated by this goverment. The right to fair hearing were taken away forcefully as witnessed in the 2015 Kaduna state Judicial Commission of inquiry proceedings and presidential committee bon Human Rights Violation by the Nigeria Army.

“The Islamic Movement and it’s members had their rights legitimately owned unmovable properties continuously destroyed with sheer wickedness and in some cases denied permission to own,” they added.

The most problem is that human right violations, injustices, aggression, killing innocent people  and ... are under the presidency of Mr. Buhari, So if he call himself as a Muslim man why he is too fanatic against minorities?!

Daesh kills two civilians, including 5-year-old, in Nigeria

Quote

Edward Kallon, the UN humanitarian coordinator in Nigeria, said in a statement on Saturday that the fatalities took place during an attack by the so-called West Africa Province (ISWAP) branch of Daesh in the town of Damasak in the northeastern Borno State.

The assault left several others injured.

“I strongly condemn any attack against civilians, humanitarian assets or aid workers and call on all armed parties to respect international humanitarian law and international human rights law, and ensure the protection of civilians, humanitarian property and personnel,” Kallon said.

The attack was the second deadly assault against civilians and aid workers within a month.

The ISWAP made an alliance with the Boko Haram terrorist group in 2015 before separating in 2016.

It is interesting to note that Human Rights Watch (HRW), a well-known front for the U.S. Government, has been actively promoting the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN). For example, this article criticised the arrest of Sheik Zakzaky and the banning of the IMN. Other critical articles on the crackdown and/or Nigerian policy generally appeared here and here. Despite being portrayed as a grassroots organisation, the IMN, despite repression, was able to build up a large infrastructure in Nigeria, and is now being openly backed by a known instrument of U.S. officialdom. HRW also promoted the West’s “Arab Spring” via the Muslim Brotherhood and is known for its anticommunist, pro-capitalist history. (Notably, Sheik Zakzaky originally worked with the Nigerian offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood.) The U.S. thus appears to be promoting both Shia and Sunni (Wahhabi–Salafi) religious movements in Nigeria, in order to counter the possible appeal of Marxist-Leninist groups, at a time of economic downturn in the region.

Similarly, during the 1970s, the U.S. promoted the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood to divert popular discontent into Sunni–Shia sectarianism instead of scientific socialism. (For instance, Israel and Saudi Arabia sponsored the rise of MB offshoot Hamas to counter the secularist, nationalist Palestine Liberation Organisation, as well as to exploit cleavages between the Soviet-linked Syrian and Western-backed Iraqi Baathist factions under Hafez al-Assad and Saddam Hussein, respectively. During the Iran–Iraq war, the West, Israel, and the “Sunni” Wahhabi–Salafi monarchies worked with Iraq to unleash the MB against Assad’s Syria, which, along with Gaddafi’s Libya, lent diplomatic support to Iran at the time.) The U.S. initially sponsored an alliance of the Iranian bourgeoisie, including the clergy, to replace the Shah and counter the pro-Soviet Tudeh Party, but this failed when the Tudeh sided with Imam Khomeini during the hostage crisis, which unseated the pro-Western Bazargan faction. Later on, however, the West, while largely opposing Imam Khomeini, found common cause with the regnant clergy against the Tudeh.

Prior to 2009, the IMN gave birth to armed movements affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, some of which split off from the Shia factions to form Wahhabi–Salafi groups such as Boko Haram. The latter then began to attack their former Shia patrons, owing to Western, including Israeli, influence vis-à-vis Saudi Arabia and Qatar, both of which have financed the arming of Boko Haram and the spread of its Wahhabi–Salafi ideology. Prior to this point, however, the Muslim Brotherhood united both Sunni and Shia factions against both secularism and certain foreign monopolies, especially in the energy sector(s)—not just in Nigeria, but also on the matter of revolutionary Iran. Hence Imam Khomeini praised some of the ideas of Sayyid Qutb and published his work(s) in Iran. However, Qutb himself, like the Muslim Brotherhood, had ties to Western intelligence and was promoted by Saudi Arabia and Israel against Egyptian nationalist Gamal Abdel Nasser. Despite his public opposition to Masonry, documents have shown that Qutb was a known Freemason.

@Ashvazdanghe

I am not criticising the IMN, but am wondering why HRW, a CIA front, is apparently supporting IMN. Do you have any ideas why the U.S. is doing this? Is the U.S. backing both the Shia IMN and its Wahhabi–Salafi enemies in order to destabilise Nigeria and turn it into a hotbed of sectarian conflict? Is it also true that Sheik Zakzaky was once associated with the Muslim Brotherhood before the MB turned against Iran and the Shia? Is the part about Sayyid Qutb being a Freemason, based on available documentation, also authentic? I am asking because I really do not know why Iran has promoted the MB as a supposed counterweight to the Saudis, since the Saudis, on behalf of the West and Israel, recruited the MB back in the 1950s to fight secular nationalism, pan-Arabism/Baathism, and Marxian socialism, representatives of which included Nasser, Gaddafi, and Assad Sr. Also, the MB and its offshoots, including Hamas and al-Qaida (bin Laden and Zawahiri were originally members of the MB), have been viscerally anti-Shia, especially since the 1980s.

"Dahwul Ardh" - the 25th of Dhulqa'dah, according to a tradition of the Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) reported by one of his Sahabi - Abdullah bin Mas'ud, is the day when the earth was spread for the advantage of human beings. The phrase "Dahwul Ardh" literally means "The spread of the earth".

Hi it's no offense , HRW always had this policy of supporting any sidr in favor of America that sometimes shows itself as supporter of oppressed people but in reality just supports any opposition group in every country that  in case of changing power in any country they still can support American interests that spreading a controlled sectarianism & conflict that distracts people from stealing resources is one of major policies of America & it's agencies like HRW that they follow it in KSA  Bahrain too that in case of overthrowing monarchs then they will have potential allies between shias of these countries through HRW .

About Sheikh Zakzaky I know that before converting to Shia Islam as a sunni he was member of any Sunni group that their slogan  was reviving Islam & fighting with oppression that it's possible he was a member of MB before Iran revolution & visiting with Imam Khomeini (رضي الله عنه) .

About Sayyid Qutb until now I don't find any authentic proof that he was a Freemason or not but Iran never promoted MB that before success of Iran revolution the MB & Iranian revolutionists were seeing each other as people with same goal but after success of Iran revolution & start of Iran -Iraq war the MB supported Baathist & Saddam beside KSA in fear of spreading shia Islam because in comparison to revolutionists of Iran the  MB was a total failure to reaching it's goals  so they become totally anti Shia to prevent promoting more people like Sheikh Zakzaky in sunni countries & their offshoots in sunni countries.

My basic point is that Shia Muslims, like everyone else, should be very careful not to let themselves be used by external powers who pose as saviours but in fact are following their own self-interest. There are innumerable reasons to oppose, say, the Saudi regime and support its overthrow; but any such overthrow must be initiated and controlled solely by the Saudi people and the people of the MENA, not by NATO and/or Israel. It should be solely in the hands of the Muslim masses and their allies, not the West’s. People must bear in mind that the West will use anyone and anything to support its aims, even co-opting its enemies to serve its own, often concealed or half-hidden purposes. During the Cold War, for example, the West used the Muslim Brotherhood to manipulate Muslims into fighting both Shias and the Soviet Union, while driving sectarian wedges between Sunni and Shia and between countries that would otherwise unite on the basis of shared anti-Western interests, regardless of certain ideological or other differences. Fortunately, Imam Khomeini saw through the West’s charade and understood the long-term “game” at stake. He knew that the West was trying to convince the Muslim masses that the Shias and/or the USSR were the “greater Satan” than the U.S./West/Israel. Imam Khomeini, on the other hand, did his best not to alienate the USSR, even while valiantly rallying the Iranian people against the West’s “imposed war” on the IRI. This is why the IRI under the deceased Leader’s successor, Imam Khamenei, has diplomatically (and sometimes otherwise) supported Syria, Venezuela, Cuba, China, Russia, North Korea (DPRK), Zimbabwe, and other non-Muslim powers that oppose some or all of the West’s aims and agendas. Focus on shared, overriding values and interests rather than divisive issues that only serve the goals of the “greater Satan.”

Nigeria: Buhari, army officers, other perpetrators of Shia massacre risk death penalty, life jail

https://en.abna24.com/news//nigeria-buhari-army-officers-other-perpetrators-of-shia-massacre-risk-death-penalty-life-jail_1056346.html

NIGERIA - AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A coalition of Civil Society Organisations under the auspices of Centrum Initiative For Development and Fundamental Rights Advocacy and Advocate Movement, on Saturday said security agents found culpable in the Shia massacre risk death penalty or life imprisonment.

The organisation made this known in a statement signed by conveners of the group, Dr. Hasan Bala, Geoffrey N. Nwokolo, Prince Adelaje Adeoye and Dr. Y.B. Abubakar, among others.

The group stated that the Nigerian constitution has never been silent on outlining the fundamental human rights of its citizens as enshrined in Chapter IV of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).

According to the CSOs, the constitution in respect to these rights states: “Every person has a right to life, and no one shall be deprived intentionally of his life, save in execution of a criminal offence of which he has been found guilty in Nigeria (Section 33 of the 1999 Constitution).”

The CSOs said: “On July 4, 2020, the Coalition of Civil Society Organisation under the Centrum Initiative for Development and Fundamental Rights Advocacy, held a press conference on: ‘Insecurity and violations of Fundamental Human Rights in Nigeria,’ where the gross violation of the fundamental human rights was that of the proscribed Nigerian Shia Muslims under the leadership of Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky which include; Murder, destruction of properties and unconstitutional arrests were identified.

“Between 12 and 14th December, 2015, the Nigerian Army burnt alive, maimed, raped, demolished homes and buried hundreds of male and female of the Nigerian Shia Muslims in a mass grave in Kaduna State (Mando).

“These crimes committed against the Shia minority can never be forgotten in our strive for the desired human rights to be shaped within the Nigerian democratic system.

Nigeria: Sheikh Zakzaky’s critical conditions in prison and role of Israeli-Saudi regimes

Quote

Israeli-Saudi secret hands behind Sheikh Zakzaky’s case

One of the highly influential factors deriving the Nigerian government’s pressures on the Shiites and especially their leader Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife in prison is the role played by Saudi Arabia and the Israeli regime, both severely afraid of expansion of Shiite faith and the discourse of the Iranian Islamic Revolution in Africa. To check the thriving wave of conversion to Shiite Islam, they resort to all sorts of instruments, including pressures on the Arab African governments and the promotion of fundamentalist Salafi groups in Africa.

Shortly after the incident, Saudi media published a government statement about a phone call between the Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari and the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz. The Saudi ruler vowed support for Nigeria’s so-called fight against terrorism and rejected any foreign intervention in the Nigerian internal affairs. The phone was deemed apparent solidarity to Buhari and his suppression campaign against the Shiites of the country.

Firstly, the crisis-hit Nigerian government desperately needs financial sources. To attract these sources from abroad and also to draw political support of the Saudis, the attacks on the Shiite minority have been stepped up since then.

Secondly, Saudi Arabia has a key role in the creation of Salafi and takfiri groups in the African country and stands as their bankroller. In 2016, a takfiri group, calling itself “Jama'at Izalat al Bid'a Wa Iqamat as Sunna”, (Society for the elimination of [religious] innovation and establishment of [Islamic] tradition), emerged. According to an AFP report, this group is one of the leading instruments of Saudi Arabia and Wahhabism in Nigeria. Nigerians were admitted through scholarship programs to the Islamic University of Madinah by Saudi Arabia only to graduate as Salafi clergy and go home to promote Salafism and serve this Saudi-centered ideology.

The group was originally founded by Nigeria’s Scholar Ismail Idris in 1978 by Saudi funding. Today the Izala is one of the largest Salafi societies not only in Northern Nigeria, but also in the South and even in the neighboring countries (Chad, Niger, and Cameroon). It is very active in da'wah, or propagation of the faith, and especially in education.

Abdullahi Bala, Izala’s leader, said more than once in official gatherings that the Nigerian constitution does not recognize the Shiites. His close relations to Saudi Arabia and Nigeria government and also anti-Shiite propaganda of his television network are famous.

Revelations from various informed sources have said that Boko Haram’s commander Mohammad Yosef several times visited Saudi Arabia.

On the other side, the Israelis have common interests with the Saudis in massacring the Shiites. According to reports, Nigeria in the past few years has turned into Africa’s largest trade partner of the Israeli regime.

Tel Aviv is riled by the expansion of the Shiite sect in Nigeria and is extremely concerned that the IMN turns into another Hezbollah in this important African country. In 1993, bilateral relations between Abuja and Tel Aviv started at the request of the Israeli side.

Eight members of Islamic Movement in Nigeria not only executed by Buhari forces in July 2019 still in hostages

Quote

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Islamic Movement of Nigeria, on Tuesday, said eight corpses of its members gunned down by Buhari forces on July 22, 2019, during a protest to demand the freedom of its leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky and his wife, Zeenah, were still being held by the security agencies despite a Supreme Court verdict that they should be released.

The IMN said 12 persons were killed on the spot and later another three died in the FCT SARS detention centre.

Abdullahi stated, “Even the late DCP was killed in the line of fire by the bullets of his colleagues, the sole aim of which was to frame the protesters, whose only demand has been, and yet is, freedom for their leader, Sheikh Zakzaky, and his wife, Zeenah Ibrahim, according to the legal order of the Supreme Court of Justice in Nigeria.

“The shoot-to-kill doctrine of the Nigeria police when it comes to protesters has claimed many lives, including Precious Owolabi, an apprentice journalist with Channels TV, who was executed for recording police crimes.

“To date, eight families have yet to bury their fathers, brothers and sons. These eight people, who were executed by the police, are not only dead, they are also hostages.

“However, killing and injuring so many people on the march did not seem to have bothered the police as well-armed policemen in vans raided one of the hospitals to which a lot of the victims had been taken and admitted, and even started receiving treatment, some medical and others surgical. They took them away and dumped them at the SARS headquarters, now SWAT, where they were beaten and tortured within an inch of their lives.”

UN Secretary General urges immediate end to Nigerian police ‘brutality’, call for maximum restraint

Quote

UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said in a statement on Wednesday that Guterres had demanded an end to “reported police brutality and abuses.”

“The Secretary-General urges the security forces to act at all times with maximum restraint while calling on protesters to demonstrate peacefully and to refrain from violence.”

Guterres also called on the Nigerian authorities to investigate the incidents in which gunmen opened fire on peaceful protesters on Tuesday evening in Lagos and caused “multiple deaths” and many injuries.

The UN chief emphasized that the perpetrators must be held accountable.

The European Union’s foreign policy chief Josep Borrell also denounced the killings.

“It is alarming to learn that several people have been killed and injured during the ongoing protests against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Nigeria.”

“It is crucial that those responsible of abuses be brought to justice and held accountable,” Borrell noted.

Witnesses said gunmen opened fire on a crowd of over 1,000 people on Tuesday evening to disperse them after a curfew was imposed in response to the growing protests.

Nigeria has been rocked by protests over police brutality and deep-rooted social grievances for two weeks.

Around the area of the Tuesday shooting in Lagos, several buildings were torched on Wednesday and sporadic clashes erupted between bottle-throwing youths and police, who occasionally shot into the air.

New unrest rocks Nigeria's Lagos after shooting of protesters

Quote

Gunfire was heard and smoke could be seen billowing from the detention facility in the upscale Ikoyi neighbourhood in central Lagos, an AFP journalist said.

Police said assailants had attacked the site on the second day of violence in the city of 20 million people after a brutal crackdown by security forces on demonstrations.

Amnesty International said Nigerian soldiers and police gunned down 12 peaceful protesters on Tuesday, while 56 have died overall across the country since demonstrations against police abuse and bad governance began on October 8.

"Those involved should be held to account in accordance with Nigerian law," he added.
