Thoughts 2018

Recommended Posts

Everyone in the world loves their cuisine and thinks it’s the best, but I think we all must admit Japanese is objectively the winner.

Its colorful, healthy, varied, light, flavorful, and aesthetically presentable.

Although they use some ingredients Muslims can’t have (pork and certain seafood), it’s obvious they have the right idea.

Japanese people have long life expectancies and have fewer diet related health issues compared to others. After eating Japanese food, I genuinely feel good and satisfied, rather than bloated and sluggish with other food.

Yes, kabob and its variations are God’s gift to Earth, but if I was truly forced to pick one cuisine only for the rest of my life, then (halal) Japanese would be my choice. My body would thank me for it.

In terms of presentation, variety, lightness etc I think you have a point. But in terms of taste I just can't prefer it over other foods. Oden can never replace fesenjoon for me, in terms of the taste.

I would be fine if we all just ate our own foods but with Japanese presentation and quantities. Quantity of food is an underrated part of diet: if we eat less, that's more valuable than changing what it is that we are eating.

I like Italian food and Mexican, too, but I agree that Japanese cuisine is very healthy. The only Japanese restaurant I have been to is Miyabi Jr. and the halal option is Shrimp Bowl which comes with shrimp and broccoli over rice. They do have some halal entrees. I usually don't eat outside, but if someone would take me, I would eat there. Delicious.

I got some education yesterday on Twitter from some patient strangers. I'd like to request duas for many blessings upon those beautiful individuals who took just a moment to use kind words and make their world a better place.

Too sad. Can't sleep.

I should not read any more news.

Police in Pittsburgh shot two boys who were unarmed and running away. I don't know the rest of the story. I don't know if the children were committing a crime. But the police shot them in their backs while they were running away. We did this, we Americans.

Infants being taken from their parents and put into infant jails. They will never recover, you know. Ever. We did this, we Americans.

It's nothing new.

Uhty, a child averages 2 1/2 years of age before long term memory develops.  Secondly, you can substitute the newborn wards in hospitals for "jails" by extrapolating what you wrote.

This is a great video. I was really in need of a video like this, it really gave me hope. But there was a hadith by Imam Jaffar Sadiq (A.S.) that our shias are more patient than us. I was really surprised by this hadith. People around me are always telling me that If AhlulBayt A.S. went through so much trials, why do you complain about your problems. I really want to share this video, but I am little scared people will consider this blasphemy.

Thanks. I did eventually find it. It was just more difficult than it used to be.

Muzaffer Hydar (Islamic pulse)

It's pathetic that the most talked about things I tend to see on Shiachat are the three "Ms"

Mutah

Marijuana

Masturbation

There's more important things!

Anyway, since it's National Narcotics day...

[VID] BISKIT | Weed

@Muzaffer_Hyder tweet on Twitter:
A good friend of mine reminded me of a noble Hadith along the lines of, "if the taghoot (oppressor) of your time is not displeased by your existence, you need to recheck your faith"

Our message to the Zionists: We love Br. Jonathan, we love his music and we stand by him.

He is the one who is pathetic.

I was shocked that he tweeted that criticism. Members here are replying to people who have questions. Let him come to SC and make an account. Answer some of the hard questions.

Marijuana,I don't remember the last time I saw a thread about Marijuana on SC.

l don't remember any such discussion, either.  Maybe it being equated with alcohol is the reason.

Never seen anything on it but tbh, I haven't gone looking. It's a big thing here now, soon to be legal across Canada. We are so screwed.

The video was right though. All the excuses but they just really want to get high.

We haven't had a marijuana topic for a few months, so the topics are further back in the past. I just saw this cartoon recently about marijuana and Canada. Thought you might like to see it. :)
