I should not read any more news. 

Police in Pittsburgh shot two boys who were unarmed and running away. I don't know the rest of the story. I don't know if the children were committing a crime. But the police shot them in their backs while they were running away. We did this, we Americans.

Infants being taken from their parents and put into infant jails. They will never recover, you know. Ever. We did this, we Americans. 

It's nothing new.

Uhty, a child averages 2 1/2 years of age before long term memory develops.  Secondly, you can substitute the newborn wards in hospitals for "jails" by extrapolating what you wrote.

This is a great video. I was really in need of a video like this, it really gave me hope. But there was a hadith by Imam Jaffar Sadiq (A.S.) that our shias are more patient than us. I was really surprised by this hadith. People around me are always telling me that If AhlulBayt A.S. went through so much trials, why do you complain about your problems. I really want to share this video, but I am little scared people will consider this blasphemy.

I couldn't find the Thoughts topic. 

I request duas for my relatives. My step-grandfather passed away last night. He was a loving and generous man and will be missed, but his wife has gone before him. Duas also that they are reunited soon in the after. They were non-Muslim but good people.

Exactly! I hope he comes here. I liked his videos but I was shocked that he could say something like this about SC out of nowhere.  He is a hawza student, he should know better. 

Masturbation is a very real problem amongst the youth these days. It is not something which is discussed within families and often the young people have nowhere to turn for advice and support. Shiachat gives these youth a place where they can discuss their struggles and frustrations while keeping their anonymity and get Islamic advice. If our Masoomeen (as) and Marajae deemed sexual issues, both within a marriage and outside of it,important enough to discuss them in explicit detail who is he to mock people for talking about them in an Islamic environment.

As for Mutah,the 'taboo practice' all I am going to say if it was not looked down upon in our communities like it is now probably some of those widowed women in Iraq wouldn't have to resort to selling their bodies to feed their children. 

Marijuana,I don't remember the last time I saw a thread about Marijuana on SC.

l don't remember any such discussion, either.  Maybe it being equated with alcohol is the reason.

Never seen anything on it but tbh, I haven't gone looking. It's a big thing here now, soon to be legal across Canada. We are so screwed.

We haven't had a marijuana topic for a few months, so the topics are further back in the past. I just saw this cartoon recently about marijuana and Canada. Thought you might like to see it.
