Shaitan will share your riches and children

Salaamunalaiqum, 

I was just reading an ahadith from Behar Al anwar in which imam Ali a.s is advising his companion Janab e Kumayl r.a,  I came across one of the point in this long ahadith which mentions 'O kumail!  Save yourself with our Wilayat or Shaitan will share your riches and your children with you!  As Allah has promised in quran. Can anyone please explain how Shaitan will share with us and which quranic Verse this is referring to.. Shukran!

Salam. The Holy Qur'an 17:64 says:

Quote

And beguile whomsoever of them you can with your voice, and collect against them your forces riding and on foot, and share with them in wealth and children, and hold out promises to them; and the Shaitan makes not promises to them but to deceive:

In case I didn't make myself clear, the ayah is Allah SWT telling Satan LA that he is free to do as he pleases, which means he can tempt people to do wrong, but he cannot be effective against the pious. See the next ayah 17:65.

In the above quote by Imam Ali AS that you mentioned "Save yourself with our Wilayat" the Imam AS is advising Kumayl Ibn Ziyad Nakha’i, one of his closest friends, (the one who wrote down Dua Kumayl from Imam Ali's dictation) to follow the Ahlul Bayt AS and not be deceived by Satan.

Salam. This is the Dua from the 4th Imam Zainul Abideen AS for his children. The link goes to Dua #25. The PDF goes to all the duas, so look for the Arabic Dua 25 on page 296, with the English Dua starting on page 305..
