When editing, it is common etiquette to note what is edited, who did the editing and why.

What if someone searches him up and all they see is naked women around him.

You should of warned all of us of the type of guy he is.

No, its just common sense that your thread would be censored on a religious forum, regardless of how current the news is. Would it be an acceptable post  on a Christian or Jewish forum?

There's a time and place for everything, David. Not here, and not on Muharram.

Nail on the head.

^This is why Haji 2003 added the word (pornographer) in the title.

l was thinking about this line today while driving around.

Human history is long enough that you can not get away from "same date" coincidence. You mentioned chr!stians. The Roman idol Mythra's 'birthday' and celebration day is the same as Chr!stmas Day and both solar calendar.  That 27Sept is a "death day"  for an "iconic pornographer" is only temporarily coincident with the Lunar Muharram. lt won't be in a couple of solar years.

Emotional Warning for the following:

Coincidence can also be geographic. The heathen Pantheon in Rome was subsequently a church for hundreds of years. You can remember that when you went to it when it was a church. Like wise, if you so chose, you can remember that women use to dance naked around the Kaaba during the Jahiliyyah  when you do Hajj.

Gaius, l do agree with you. During this past June,  the local PBS was running this Buddhist history cwap and said, "l am not going to have this on in my home during Ramadhan." even though the TV was only on for background noise inside the house.

The difference is: David66 posted a news event while the PBS station was posting a history class.

lol, that is the definition of edit.  When editing, it is common etiquette to note what is edited, who did the editing and why.

If you look at the bottom of your original post you'll see that I explained why the edit was done. The system automatically records that it was me who did the edit and when I did it.

So not so much a matter of etiquette, as one of you having to keep up with the way these forums work.

^ as with most articles about him in the mainstream media, there are accompanying images that are unIslamic. Caution advised.

The casefiremagazine points out, that this is now more than just one man:

Quote

Dines continues, “it’s clear that when you follow the money of the porn industry and the influence it has via buying political and cultural power, we have an entire infrastructure of mainstream ‘respectable’ industries with vested interests in keeping porn going. When porn interfaces with Visa, MasterCard, Venture Capitalists, the electronics industry and ISPs, any opposition is opposing global capitalism (a specifically exploitative capitalism that makes men rich off the backs of women, quite literally)…Pro-porn third wavers are all about representation over economics … without an economic analysis, you are wandering around in the dark with a self-imposed blindfold.”

But, you did not clearly show which were your words and which were mine.  At this point, only you and I know for certain.  Therefore, it is not a proper edit.  As Gaius I. Caesar said above, "do I honestly need to spoonfeed this to you?"

All the Best,

David

Hmm.

not so well known for his infamy these days

My explanation was as above.

Since the title & post only contained one adjective that would indicate, the reason for his infamy (particularly for a Muslim audience), I'd have thought that anyone who does not need spoonfeeding would have worked that one out.

This truly is a tragedy for Hugh Hefner. Not because of his death, but because of the eternity he faces.
