Trump makes US leave the Climate Accord and we get hit by 2 hurricanes and wildfires. Coincidence? I think not!!!

lf you are going to do innuendo, as a Clintonian Democrat, you should proclaim "the Russians did it".

I am not the only one asking Trump about climate change

^ Hello,

Maybe Hillary.  Since no Clintons are in office, they have shut down their "Pay for Play Foundations."

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/jan/16/clinton-global-initiative-lays-off-22-as-donations/

And, Bill is not getting the $750,000 speaking fees he was used to when a lot of the World thought Hillary would be the next President of the USA.

So, Hillary is know out peddling her "why I lost" book to pay the bills.

All the Best,

David

 Know any duas?

Friday, 22Sept17, afternoon,

From mechanical failure [related to Hurricane Maria ? ] the earthen dam Guajataca built in 1929 is failing as it cannot release enough water to keep it from topping-over. This dam holds ~30,000 acre-feet of water [ =~37Million cubic meters] of water.

Estimated 70,000 people at risk and most without power or communication recievers.

Noon, 23Sept17

No up-to-date news on lnternet.

All National Weather Service stations in Puerto Rico are out -not functioning.

NWS does forecast one-quarter to one-half inch of rain (7-12mm) for both today and Sunday.

Hurricane Maria is now officially a CAT4 storm for the time period it crossed Puerto Rico.

Puerto Rico's Gov. Rossello said Saturday afternoon the "dam was holding" and the number evacuated was just over 300 --out of the 50,000+ under threat.

Now, engineers are inspecting a dam with fissures and significantly eroded areas. Picture included:

OPINE: Why American network coverage is so poor is still unexplained. Mexican earthquakes make better news?

1300EDT 25Sept

1] Guajataca Dam is eroding internally. May fail. Water no longer -for-now- going out the spillway. Number evacuated unknown.

2] DEBRIS: Piles of wind blown debris mixed with palm fronds -even in the mountains- plus the 80-90 degree temperatures. Microbial action, like with hay, may start fires anywhere on the island. Current rain and thundershowers contribute to the microbial action and may generate enough latent heat to ignite.

Puerto Rico is part of the United States. Can you imagine what would happen if the media announced that New York or California entire state had lost electricity and would take weeks or months to recover? Can you imagine if Ohio or Iowa had been "set back by decades"?

Yes, FEMA and other agencies are working there, but where is the media? Where is the public outcry? Why is so little information available? It's like the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina didn't teach us anything.

Contrary to the anti-Trump whiney-hype, Trump is not being adequately informed about what he can do.

To wit:  While the Army in its infantile wisdom removed water-purification from the battalion level to corps and reduced the number of operable units in the early 80s, the Air Force and the Air Nat'l Guard have engineer and "Red Horse" units that can come in in their C-130s -which do not need a long air strip- and do some real work. The ROWPU (reverse osmosis water purification unit) and the supporting generators are air and helicopter portable to be put even into remote areas. Plus the Water-and-Fuel 3E4X personnel can do other major repairs and reconstruction. Plus whatever amphibious support ships can do.

For further info, see: 3E4X1 ; http://themilitaryengineer.com/index.php/tme-articles/tme-magazine-online/item/445-powering-potable-water-systems ;

lf l was Trump, l'd have the Cmdr, AF Nat'l Guard take over from FEMA as he can move stuff en masse that the civilians cannot do. And add helicopter transport to that cmdr's portfolio.

May all the people be safe and damage to property minimized.

I don't know if it's related, but hurricane and tropical storm events in UK and Europe was predicted as one of the results of global warming a long time ago, before anyone outside of the scientific community every heard of global warming.

It's not unprecedented, but it's rare.
