Salam alayikum! Whenever I pray it feels hard to breathe and I feel this huge pain in my heart. Even when its cold I feel warm, sometimes I even start to sweat. Can you give me an answer why? I would really appreciate an answer.

First let's clear up physical causes. Have you been checked by your doctor? Are you locking your knees while standing?

If neither knees locked nor health issues are the cause, it seems probable that you are having some anxiety. Always remember that Allah is most forgiving, most merciful. Is there something going on in your life that you need to change? So change it. Is there something in your past that you need to deal with? Let your mind process it. Are you fearful of the future? Do your best, then leave it to Allah. May Allah provide you with comfort.

Maybe you are reading salah at fast speed which is causing your heart to beat faster than usual ? Even i myself have these warm and hot feelings sometimes. Just turn on a fan in your direction and take your time in praying. Goodluck

Do not rush your prayers. Learn about the philosophy of prayer and what you are reciting. Understand the principles of prayer and why it is the most important task in our religion. The book: Adab al-Salaat, written by Imam Khomeini (ra) is a great book that educates you on the principles of Salaat.

See it this way: during the day, you are stressed. You hear people talk behind you, people are competing with you, economically and socially. You witness the daily society and it's hypocrisy and wrongdoings. The only few moments where there is no place for competition, no place for discrimination, no place for difference is during your prayers. You are standing in front of something that is unimagineable. And it listens to you closely. It listens to your pain and emotion, as well as your future intentions. I see prayer as a relief of stress that have accumulated during the day. I can finally communicate in a formal way with respect.

Don't be afraid. Indeed, Allah is merciful and magnificent. He provides us with life and feelings.

If you are not sure whether it is spiritual or physical, I do recommend you to visit a doctor in your area.
