Why did Allah create us? Best Answer?

He is free of any Need. His Essence can't be known.

He is Independent. He is Ever Living. He does not undergoes any state of change.

His Attributes are known only to Him in the real Essence.

I know He created us to know Him, to Love Him, not because He needs our Love and Devotion but because We need to know Him and to become best of His creations.

But I had one Question, Why did He decided to create us? Why did He decided to shower His blessings upon a creation like us? Why? Why us?

Any ahadeeth? Because this is a very basic Question of Tawheed.

Any I suppose I can get as many as more than hundred thousand ahadeeths on this Question of mine.

Please do a favor if you have some explanatory ahadeeth to this Question.

There is a Hadith-e-Qudsi narrated to us through Imams, I do not remember whole Hadith word by word but I will tell you what it says. Imams say that "God was known to himself, but He willed to be known by his creation as well, so, He created us". Imam Jafar al-Sadiq a.s says: "The cause of our creation is actually Ahsan which we translate in our language as gift". [My note]:- A good doer always knows to do Ahsan and gift others without any need or vested interest. All-good is the name of God, so it is quite obvious that He AWJ created us so that we may enjoy his mercy and know about Him although there is no need for him as he is self-sufficient but goodness is his essence so, He AWJ was always doing goodness and will continue to do so.

Beautiful brother! Ahsan. Really it is :) And great example like a one who is Good does good to others even when he going to get nothing out of it. He still gives. By helping us know Him he has made us from nothing to Best of His creations who will live "Eternally" in His pleasure. This is the Greatness of goodness.

“And I (Allaah) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone)”

[al-Dhaariyaat 51:56]

there is no real answer. Which ever system one follows they need to agree upon the given reason. However there is a fallacy in your statement. You asked why us? Implying we are external from Gods creation or design input. Can or will GOd create something superior to mankind? Can he or will he? Why should he?.

why does man need to become the best of his creations, considering Adam already was.

if we mean best in competitive relation to each other, then the prophets and imams where already created as the superior best, this then contradicts that we need to become the best, because we could have been made the best, and in becoming the best we could never be the best in relation to the chosen best.

He has created us in best of make (Ahsun e Taqweem):

Surah At-Tin, Verse 4:

Certainly We created man in the best make.

(English - Shakir)

To test us that which of us perform best of deeds (Ahsun o Amala):

Surah Al-Mulk, Verse 2:

Who created death and life that He may try you-- which of you is best in deeds; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving,

(English - Shakir)

Our test is not against the prophets and Imams. Take all the infallible beings out of the equation.

We (fallible beings) are competing against each other.

Allah had chosen Prophets and Imams (as) so we have the best role models in society.

It makes no sense for prophets to compete against us. Allah had chosen all the Imams (as) and prophets (pbuh) since day one.

It is up to us whether we follow them or not.

:bismillah:

Surah Al-Insan, Verse 1:

There surely came over man a period of time when he was a thing not worth mentioning.

(English - Shakir)

Surah Al-Insan, Verse 2:

Surely We have created man from a small life-germ uniting (itself): We mean to try him, so We have made him hearing, seeing.

(English - Shakir)

Surah Al-Insan, Verse 3:

Surely We have shown him the way: he may be thankful or unthankful.

(English - Shakir)

A more in-depth discussion on subject matter would require understanding what is meant by "samiyam-basira" in verse 2 of chapter 76 & will include "ghaflat":

Surah Al-Araf, Verse 179:

And certainly We have created for hell many of the jinn and the men; they have hearts with which they do not understand, and they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear; they are as cattle, nay, they are in worse errors; these are the heedless ones.

(English - Shakir)

So are you suggesting me that what the verses of Quran telling us are over-ruled by the hadith e qudsi?

Secondly, the hadith e qudsi you have mentioned talks about creation as a whole. It includes all noori creations & the angels etc. as well. The question was asked about our creation specifically:

:) Who knows Allah except Prophet & Imams (peace & blessings of Allah be upon them)?

The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.s.) informed Imam Ali (a.s.):

یَا عَلِيُّ مَا عَرَّفَ اﷲَ حَقَّ مَعْرِفَتِہٖ غَیْرِيْ وَ غَیْرُکَ وَ مَا عَرَّفَکَ حَقَّ مَعْرِفَتِکَ غَیْرُ اﷲِ وَ غِیْرِیْ

“O Ali, none other than me and you have truly recognized Allah and none has truly recognized you other than Allah and me.”

In another instance, he (s.a.w.a.s.) says:

یَا عَلِیُّ لاَ یَعْرِفُ اﷲَ تَعَالٰي اِلاَّ اَنَا وَ اَنْتَ وَ لاَ یَعْرِفُنِيْ اِلاَّ اﷲَ وَ اَنْتَ وَ لاَ یَعْرِفُکَ اِلاَّ اﷲُ وَ اَنَا

“O Ali, none has recognized Allah, the Almighty except me and you, and none has recognized me except Allah and you, and none has recognized you except Allah and I.”

It was his Inayaat(Mercy and Love) Who made us from nothing to Eternal. Yes our Souls are Eternal. They'll live forever.

He created us for Himself not because He needs us but because He is So Gracious and Loving that He wanted to nurture us.

Allah not just created us and left, but he instead created the best of system for us and best of pleasures for us. The Best of all pleasures is the Presence of our Ahlulbayt(a.s) who love us more than our own parents.

He created everything good for us. Above all He gave us His Love.

Now his wrath is earned when you disobey him.

Because when He is Gracious at the same time he is Adil too.

A person who has obeyed Allah since he knew Allah and a person who din't gave a heed to his creator can't be equal so they can't be kept at same place. So Allah created Hell Fire for the deniers and those who resist. (Dua E Kumayl).

Also so that people have fear of loosing Allah.

Do Notice that creation of Hell Fire alone is one of the main reasons of people achieving High Ranks.

Fear of Allah is not because His wrath, but because Loosing of His Mercy.

Absence of His Mercy from you becomes His Wrath.

He is So Merciful that no one can define His Mercy.

No one can define His Attribute because how can a Finite being define an Infinite Being.!!

Who knows Allah? The maximum limit for us to know Allah is to know ourself.

Who obey Allah? We are just obeying the Prophet & the Imams (peace & blessings of Allah be upon them), and that is equal to as we are obeying Allah.

What you know about yourself.

Knowing oneself is big thing. So it's easy to oneself. So start knowing yourself to know Allah.

Definitely the Allah created us to worship Him. But according to interpretation of Ahlubyat as this worshiping is to know Allah.

But because we can't directly have access to Him. So this worship is mediation to know him.

Millions of years ago Allah had a plan. Created Rasoolalah (SAWA) the Ahlulbayt (AS) in the beginning. Thereafter he decided to let the rest of Mankind exist. Allah originally created the Earth for Ahlulbayt (AS) and Rasoolalah (SAWA).

We may not know what Allah has planned for us now but its the Beginning of A New Age. Alhamdulillah. :)

Obviously when I say knowing Allah that means Knowing that He is Your Lord, La ILAHA ILALLAH.

And yes, that is the reason He (Exalted He is) send His perfect Creations to show how Allah is obeyed.

They not only showed us His obedience but gave us Life we never knew Existed within our own selves.

It is the heart that knows Allah. The heart that is purified from all sorts of sins and shrik.

Worshiping  Allah is means of purification of soul and rememberce of Allah and dissociation from everything other than Allah.

Ones this reaches to its excellence the actions then attributes and names Allah manifest in the heart of this purified Abd.

Hard question you posed.

We are all expert in seeing and judging others but refuse to look inward, it seems it is very common character of the majority of humans. Yet being human as we are now we are capable to see what we actually are.

I think we are just the reflection in the mirror.

My opinion.
