Hi . I'm currently studying in Kuala Lumpur. I plan to return to my home back in Pakistan in a few days . I'll be staying there for over a month .i will be in travel for 12 hours . Is is okay if I don't fast for that day ?

You can break your fast on the day that you travel 12 hours back to your home. Even if you fast that day your fast will still be invalid.

Doesn't it depend though if he travels before or after the Duhr prayer? According to Sayyed Sistani one should keep fasting if one begins traveling after the Duhr prayer.

I will be traveling at local fajr time.It will be a 12 hour journey. My arrival will be at 6pm in karachi. That's 1.5hrs from the maghrib time in karachi

According to sistani, a traveller for whom it is obligatory to shorten a four Rak'ats prayers to two Rak'ats, should not fast. But if you are traveling after Duhr than you should fast. Since you are traveling before Duhr you can skip.

:salam:

I think if you travel and reach a place where you stay 10 days before dhuhr you must fast.

Edit: nevermind, had not read the brother's post about his journey.
