Why do many people say Sikhism is a "combination of Islam and Hindism"to be blunt, this is condescending,  I am non muslim and I can just as ignorantly say "Islam is a combination of Judiasm and Christianity" considering they're all Abrahamic religions. Lastly, in my opinion if my faith be compared to another faith, I'd rather it be Islam, Jewish religion is built on segregation just like Hindu(Brahmins, which is thehighest caste and if you're not a BrAhman in Hindus you're considered not hindu"

No, they are not Muslims. The Guru Granth Sahib was written after Islam, hence we consider it to be false.

Guru Nanak was recorded as saying this:

Quote

"There is neither Hindu nor Mussulman (Muslim), but only man. So whose path shall I follow? I shall follow God's path. God is neither Hindu nor Mussulman and the path which I follow is God's."

^ Then how can the followers of the Gurus be considered Muslim?

no, anyone who takes the shahada is a muslim. sikhs do not accept the holy prophet (S) as allahs final and greatest prophet, so cannot fall under the banner of islam.

they take elements of islamic message like monotheism, and bits and parts of the quran in their own holy book, but this isnt enough to be considered islam (or even ahl e kitaab like jews and christians)

we need to make clear that this is no insult to sikhs, they are not najis or evil or bad. we do not have any right to oppress them or mock them or steal their rights. they're humans like everyone else, and must be treated with dignity and respect that all people deserve. call them whatever they want but not muslims because thats just not true. if I told you all I am an ostrich, that doesnt make it true does it

And, I would like to add that they are in general very supportive of Muslims in the West. They have also been the victims of Islamophobia.
