SalamAlaykum Brothers and sisters. I hope you are all well in shaa Allah.

Basically I had a question regarding this Ayat.

It's 4:163

Surah An-Nisa, Verse 163:

Surely We have revealed to you as We revealed to Nuh, and the prophets after him, and We revealed to Ibrahim and Ismail and Ishaq and Yaqoub and the tribes, and Isa and Ayub and Yunus and Haroun and Sulaiman and We gave to Dawood Zabuur
(English - Shakir)

Why are the Prophets in such a order in this Ayat. I mean Noah Abraham Isaac Ishmael and Jacob make sense because of the Genealogy but the rest of those Prophets in the Ayat I have no clue. Has any of you come across this Ayat and maybe asked the same Question. Why being in such a  Order. And for those who will say that it isn't important etc.

I will reply to say that there is always a reason why Allah reveales the Ayat in a specific way. I wanna know in shaa Allah.

Cant wait for the replies!!!

Theyre grouped by books that they revealed/ maintained according to this tafsir. Makes sense to me to group them this way for example hazrat Nuh as and the prophets after him were bound by the laws revealed by Nuh until the next stage of revelation came

I don't understand brother because The Pslams comes before the Injeel and yet it is mentioned after Jesus.

My point is why is for example Isa and Ayoob Yunus Haroon Sulaiman and David mentioned at the end. What is the connection there? Why in such a order. Isa came after Dawood. Haroon comes before Isa

I dont think its in chronological order bro, I think it is the end of each line. look at the family tree:

family-tree-of-prophets.jpg

(1) Nuh and prophets after him

the prophets between Nuh and Ibrahim, Shalih and Syuib (Peace be upon them all)

(2) Ibrahim and Ismail and Ishaq and Yaqoub and the tribes

Looking at the tree we can see that it makes sense to group these together

(3) Isa and Ayub and Yunus

these seem to represent the last major prophets at the end of their line. I am assuming that hazrat Ayub was more significant of mention than hazrat Zulqifli

(4) Haroun and Sulaiman

these are famous for being significant prophets who immediately succeeded very significant prophets in the Quran (Musa and Dawood) Peace be upon them all

(5) We gave to Dawood Zabuur

Shout out to hazrat Dawood and his book.

Sorry brother but it still doesn't make sense. It was very nice of you to show the Family tree.  Ayub and Yunus do not represent Major Prophets but Definitely Isa a.s does. Still not sure about why Isa Is mentioned in such a order. I'm keeping this topic going so we get a brother or a sister who can crack the code
