Assalam o Alaikum.

Today is 22nd rajab, day of koonday. Is there anyone who explain this.

What is it's origin. And the rules and regulations.

Anyone whose family or relatives used to do this on 22nd rajab, want to shed some light.

Any words on this practise from any marjae or ayatullah?

Who did you know?

Must have seen all the activities, or did the kids talk about  Imam Jafar As Sadiq(as).

What did you say , who he was? Teacher of who ?

These shia's and their Imam activities, thay are good at spreading the Waliyah stuff.

Any Bidah angle here? I am sure there is .

Have fun.

22nd Rajab is the day that muawiyyah ibn abu sufiyan (LA) was finally cast into hell.

Shia wanted to celebrate so under taqiyyah, did a nazr of Imam Ja'afar Sadiq (as) so they could celebrate the day without being persecuted by the nawasib. you will notice if you go to any kunday, before anyone begins to eat, they will do lanat on muawiyyah.

Who told you this bro ?

This has nothing to do with Muawiya.

the date of his death is difficult to prove without access to our texts, however it is generally believed that he died around April/ May in the year 680AD:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muawiyah_I

using any hijri calendar converter online, april/ may 680AD was indeed the month of Rajab:

http://www.islamicity.org/hijri-gregorian-converter/#

so there is actually quite a strong argument that he was sent to hell in Rajab. that alone should be enough of a reason to celebrate his death in Rajab

Koonday are halva puri to be made before dawn by registered jaffri Muslims only on 22 Rajab.

But if you are not from punjab it could be anything like chicken roast, biryani, nihari, haleem.

For the record, I do la'an on Muawiya even when I am not eating. Just saying...

Never heard of this new issue with some ones death.

As far has evidence and history of the oppressed people. lived under mortal threat whatever was preserved was of priority and of utmost importance, things common among people did not  need to be recorded to be preserved. Since its not an Obligatory Prayer issue. It does help in the overall Message. As a Shia, good enough. Good to know if someone does have anything constructive to add, to further the cause.

As longs a anything or occasion does not Violate Allah(awj) Laws, and it helps the Allah(awj) Cause. Propagation of Wilayah in any shape and form. We as Shais' should be for it and manage any negative or Fiqhi angles to create doubts.

If any Claim is made, as usual Demand Authentic Evidence(this works both ways). Hearsay causes doubts. So, let be prudent. Not every one is happy with the Message.
