 Yes I feel the same way. I don't think its good to pray for a hastened death, I think the key is trust, I pray prayers like this too, but I actually think it is a sin, because if we trusted Allah we would know he gives life and death. We can not hasten it or bring it forward,

I can understand your situation. Life sometimes appears to be cruel on us and we wish for its end. It's not you and  me but it happens with every single one of us at some point of time. But this phase is temporary and  something better is waiting.

Brother, I don't know all your problems (we all have some) but you are definitely tired of being on a restricted diet to lose weight and frustrated about that. You are looking at your diet as deprivation. Stop focusing on the food you are not allowed to eat and look for a hobby. Take a walk. Or just spend more time at ShiaChat.

You can't change everything. You can't change other people, but you can change how you react, you can change yourself, and you probably can change your situation.

After losing everything nad everyone in Karbala, Imam Hussain (as) did not pray for death, neither did Imam Sajjad (as) nor Hz Zainab (as).

No matter where you are in life, just remember that 50% of the people in the world are worse off than you so do shukr for what you have even if it is just another breath.

Notme is right, can't change people and you may not be able to change your situation  but whatever is ailing you, it's only temporary, just like this life.

Perhaps theres no happiness anywhere. Not even in a memory. If it helps, try and find something that geniually makes you happy. Recently iv taken up knitting. Yah sounds corny but im amazed how i love it, i turn tv on and could sit for hours, or i say astaghfur rub as im knitting instead of prayer beads. Ask yourself, if you could do something in heaven (aka forever) and everytime you do it, makes you happy what is it

It is surely wrong to "PRAY" for your death. Or do you think you're from the Sadiqeens, the Purified ones? Is that no sin ever touched you, that you're calling for your own death hence closing the doors of His mercy & closing the doors of repentance for yourself?

 (فَتَمَنَّوُاْ الْمَوْتَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ)

Instead of complaining the hardship of life, why don't you strive brother, to dedicate your life & death, turning your sacrifices & struggles into a great cause i.e., "LILLAHE RABBUL AALAMEEN".

 why you think death is the only solution? The One who causes death is capable of bringing ease to every difficulty.

Thats what i thought.. you know nobody will miss me and everyone thinks i am the cause of their pain and i think if i die everyone will be happy in their life. 

I was a very positive person and i try too look in every bad situation but lately nothing is going well. There are few things i can't tell anyone and its killing me. I hate myself. Everyone said to me I don't have any quality of a man. I am just tired of criticism. 

Do you think having a soft heart is bad? I care about people and i can't be rude to them is it bad? I know i have a lot flaws but I am not the worse person on the planet. So why everyone treats me that way.

My family... I know they are living their normal life and they couldn't care less. they might feel bad for 5 mins but they will get back to their lives. 

I don't have any close friend. They all got married and living their lives. And i can't tell anyone everything. Some of things will remain with me.

Oh for crying out loud! Self pity is from the devil! If you are unhappy with your life, take steps to change it! 

If you have medical depression, get treatment. There is no shame in trying to cure what ails you.

If the misery is all situational, not medical, change your situation. You are the only one who can. 

In any event, when you catch yourself wallowing in self pity and enjoying your own misery, stop yourself. Say "alhamdulilla", smile, pick yourself up, and get on with life.

I wish I could change my work schedule but its an office job and I have to spend 9 hours at work daily. And i am always looking for a better opportunity.

Can you change your home location to avoid the commute? Or maybe rent a space during the week so you will be more rested and relaxed on weekends at home?

My job is just 19 miles from my house. Traffic is terrible here.

A drowning man prays to Allah for help.

• A log floats by and he says I will not use the log to escape but wait for Allah
• A man comes by on a boat to rescue him and he says I am waiting for Allah to help.
• The coast guard comes in a helicopter to rescue him and he tells them to go away since he is waiting for Allah to help.
• The man drowns.

Help from Allah comes in different ways. Perhaps it is via SC or other person or just your inner self. If you are waiting for Allah to manifest himself and come to your aid, it will not happen.

This is spring now brother. It is a time for rejuvenation and re-birth and positivity.

If you have nothing else to look forward to, then look forward to the zuhoor of the Imam (as) of our time.
