A lot of it depends on the weather.

You definitely want a tent of course. Then you can take sleeping bags but we prefer air mattresses. Other items include:

Mosquito repellent

Lamps (led preferably)

a good knife

Fire starter

Lots and lots of food :D

A big burqa to scare wild animals like bear :)

World! I divorce you thrice! :D Ever since I stepped foot in the holy lands of Iraq I quit everything else. Even when I plan trips to other destinations I just end up in Iraq anyway. There's nothing like the ziyara of Ahlul Bayt a.s.! You recharge your batteries and survive a little longer in Fasadland in the West.

I've been to a number of European and post-Soviet countries. One of the most interesting was Azerbaijan.  Since there are probably many Iranians on this website, have any been to Azerbaijan?

Africa; Tanzania (origin), Kenya, Egypt and South Africa

Europe: UK. Also, Zurich, Rome, Dublin and Amsterdam airports.

North America: US (currently live) & Canada

Asia: india, UAE, Oman, Turkey, Syria, Iran, Iraq. Also Doha and Manama airports.

Best countries: Of course nothing beats home, but I loved South Africa. I didn't get to see much of Iran, Iraq and Syria other than the shrines. I like the West Coast in America, not so much a fan of the East, too cold.

I have been to South Africa too and I think it was one of the most beautiful countries I have ever seen.  We just were in Cape Town and south of there, but I have heard that there are many other beautiful spots in the country.

Norway and South Africa were my favorite countries to visit because of the beautiful nature.

I'm going to Oman next week, I'm excited. No Iran this year unfortunately.

Wadi Bani Khalid was one of the most beautiful serene, tranquil places I have ever experienced. I remember relaxing in the natural pools and hearing the sound of silence, surrounded by palms and mountains.
