on facebook you can make all previous posts limited to friends... 'limited audience' -- it is rather more an issue of privacy than religion.. because internet is creepy and you never know where your pics even in Hijab would end up.. and some mean kafir guys might be making fun of it.

Salam alaikum

It's not haram by itself but it is probably better not to post a close up picture of yourself.

salam o alikum

Imam Jafar Sadiq (as) says: Modesty is the symbol of faith and whoever has no modesty (Hijab), has no religion

Now a days Many girls shows their pictures on social media , Because they think hijab is just covering their bodies and hair, its not harram in islam to post the pictures But Indeed it is not permissible  To show your pictures to non mehram on social media there is no restrictions for anyone So Everyone can see the pictures  included non mehram If you have privacy To your pictures And only mehram people can able to see your pictures so there is no probelm in it .

Wasalam

Depends on your marja

some marjas in olden days like sayed khoei and modern times like sheikh basheer najafi say the full face veil is mandatory. some like sayed sistani say that the face being exposed is ok. just follow what your marja says if you follow one.

if you dont, its probably not a good idea to show your face on any social media. for pretty obvious reasons. seek attention and validation from your family, friends and husband, not strangers and na mahrams.

According to Ayatollah Sistani

Quote

Question: What are the minimum requirements of Hijab (Islamic modest dress) for a Muslim woman?

Answer: Woman should conceal her body and hair from a man who is non-Mahram, and as an obligatory precaution, she should conceal herself even from a Na-baligh boy who is able to discern between good and evil, and could probably be sexually excited. But she can leave her face and hands upto wrists uncovered in the presence of Na-Mahram, as long as it does not lead him to casting a sinful, evil glance or her to doing something forbidden; for in both these cases, she must cover them.

Its haram for less beautiful girls, for the prettier ones it is not. It also depends on if you want "likes" or not. "But I will add a hadeeth in the description" might also work. Do marjas really have to issue a ruling for each website?
