Father's name: Al-Hassan Al-Askari - 11th Imam (pbuhim)

Mother's name: Nargis - Daughter of the king of Rome.

Birth: In Sammara, on Friday the 15th of Shaaban 255 A.H.

Imam Al-Mahdi will unite the East and the West. His father Imam Hassan Al-Askari is from the East. And His mother Nargis, also known as Malika, was from the west. It is narrated she was the daughter of the king of Rome Yashu'a Ibn Qaisar (Caeser). His mother didn't live close to the Islamic world, but one night she had a dream that the Prophet of Islam came to her and told her to marry one of His children. They told her that she will have a son that will rule the world and fill it with justice. Following this dream, she woke up with the desire to meet these people whom she later realised were the Muslims being fought. She did what she could and was captured by the Islamic army, her desire all along. She was later bought as a merchant along with other prisoners, but was amazed at the good treatment she received. She didn't know why this man treated her with such kindness, as if she was his next of kin. She was later introduced to the same man, as Imam Hassan, the light from her dream with whom she lived happily ever after. With their love, the Prince of our time was born.

Imam Al-Mahdi, is still living and will appear before the end of time..

Imam Ali narrates that Prophet Muhammad (pbuthem both) said:

Even if only a day remains for Qiyamah to come, yet Allah will surely send a man from my family who will fill this world with such justice and fairness, just as it initially was filled with oppression.

Prophet Muhammad said:

The promised Mahdi will be among my progeny, among the descendants of Fatima.

(Abu Dawud, Sahih, Vol. 2, P. 207; Ibn Majah, Sahih, Vol. 2, P. 519)

Rasullah said:

A group of my Ummah will fight for the truth until near the day of judgment when Jesus, the son of Marry, will descend, and the leader of them will ask him to lead the prayer, but Jesus declines, saying: "No, Verily, among you Allah has made leaders for others and He has bestowed his bounty upon them.

(Sahih Muslim)

No one can fully understand the reason for the occultation of Imam Mahdi (ajtf) but some explainations bought forward are:

1. The benefit of being tested and purified, this is a test for the beleiver.

2. The benefit of being relieved from having to pay allegiance to unjust rulers.

3. The benefit of being immune from murder.

The minor occultation was needed to prepare his people of the major occultaion to come. Ultimately the reasons of the occultation are based on divine wisdom.

Minor Occultaton: 8th Rabi 'ul-awwal 260 A.H.

Major Occultation: 10 Shawwal 329 AH.

May Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) hasten his reappearance and may our lives be His (pbuhim) sacrifice. Illahi Amen.

The first international conference of "Mahdism" with the support of the Ahlul Bayt Assembly of the Netherlands and in cooperation with the AhlulBayt World Assembly, with the presence of diplomats, scholars from Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey and Iraq was held in the city of "Hague" in the Netherlands. 

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The first international conference of "Mahdism" with the support of the Ahlul Bayt Assembly of the Netherlands and in cooperation with the AhlulBayt World Assembly, with the presence of diplomats, scholars from Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey and Iraq was held in the city of "Hague" in the Netherlands. 

This magnificent ceremony was held on the night of Imam Mahdi's (AS) birthday at the Oprah Hall in the Den Haag district of The Hague.

On right of who calls you  in land and sea, on the poor of believers give the richness and affluence ,on the patients give heal and health, and to their deads , grace  and benefaction and their passengers and their strangers give returning to their homelands "

إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ {1}

[Shakir 97:1] Surely We revealed it on the grand night.
[Pickthal 97:1] Lo! We revealed it on the Night of Predestination.
[Yusufali 97:1] We have indeed revealed this (Message) in the Night of Power:
 

Qadr is power, honour, glory, grandeur.

Refer to the commentary of Dukhan: 3 to 6 and references mentioned therein to have a clear understanding about the doctrine of determinism propagated by a large number of Muslim schools of thought; and also the true, rational and Islamic article of faith based on divine adl (justice) presented by the Ahl ul Bayt that man has been given a free wil1 to do good or do evil on the basis of which or as a consequence of which he will be examined on the day of judgement. Refer to the commentary of Baqarah: 2 on page 20; and 5 on page 24; and 21 on page 55.

Laylatil Qadr means the night of power or grandeur. As verses 2 and 3 suggest it is, in the spiritual sense, a secret kept hidden, and it transcends time because in it Allah's power dispels the darkness of ignorance through His revelation.

Jalal al Din al Suyuti, in Durr al Manthur, says that laylatil qadr stands for the Holy Prophet and his Ahl ul Bayt.

Aqa Mahdi Puya says:

The night of qadr is in the month of Ramadan. See Baqarah: 185 and Dukhan: 1 to 3 wherein it is stated that the whole Quran was revealed in this night. The descension of the angels and the spirit is a regular occurrence since the creation of Allah till the day of resurrection, and the place of descent is a thoroughly purified heart (Ahzab: 33). Therefore there should be such a purified heart in existence at all times.

Imam Muhammad bin Ali al Baqir said:

"Present this surah as a decisive argument for the continuity of the divine vicegerency on the earth."

The 19th, 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th night of Ramadan is the night of qadr.

The whole Quran was revealed to the Holy Prophet in this night but he used to recite or convey to the people only such passages or verses as he was commanded by Allah through Jibrail. It is known as gradual revelation. Refer to the commentary of Baqarah: 2 and Aqa Puya's essay "The Genuineness of the Holy Quran".

Verse 2 suggests that the spiritual nature of this night and its value is known to Allah only.

Quoting Sajdah: 4, 5 and Ma-arij: 4, Abdullah Yusuf Ali says that "a thousand months" refers to "timeless time". One moment of enlightenment under Allah's light is better than thousands of months or years of animal life, and such a moment converts the night of darkness into a period of spiritual glory.

The Imams of Ahl ul Bayt have asked their followers to pray to Allah and invoke His forgiveness and blessings during the night of Qadr.

It is said that angels and holy spirits descend on the earth with peace and special blessings from Allah for those who seek Allah's mercy and bounties through prayers and supplications during this night. In the month of Ramadan the believers fast, pray and do good, therefore Allah sends down His forgiveness, mercy and blessings on those believers who obey His commands, and the boon of blessings and bounties promised to the sincere devotees of Allah continues until the rising of the dawn.

When the spiritual darkness is dispelled by the light from Allah, a sense of security and peace dawns on the soul. 

وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ {2}

[Shakir 97:2] And what will make you comprehend what the grand night is?
[Pickthal 97:2] Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Night of Power is!
[Yusufali 97:2] And what will explain to thee what the night of power is?
 

لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ {3}

[Shakir 97:3] The grand night is better than a thousand months.
[Pickthal 97:3] The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.
[Yusufali 97:3] The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.
 

تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ مِنْ كُلِّ أَمْرٍ {4}

[Shakir 97:4] The angels and Gibreel descend in it by the permission of their Lord for every affair,
[Pickthal 97:4] The angels and the Spirit descend therein, by the permission of their Lord, with all decrees.
[Yusufali 97:4] Therein come down the angels and the Spirit by Allah's permission, on every errand:

 

 

سَلَامٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ {5}

 

 

[Shakir 97:5] Peace! it is till the break of the morning.
[Pickthal 97:5] (The night is) Peace until the rising of the dawn.
[Yusufali 97:5] Peace!...This until the rise of morn!
