Afraid of myself.. losing my faith..

I’m writing this while I'm crying. I'm so tired..

I have always been this hopeful person, that always saw the good things in people, in situations, in everything, all that because of my faith. I believed that I had a strong faith, making always due, prays, doing my thing. Lately I’m just tired of everthing and everyone. I feel like im lost and doesn’t know what to do. Everything is just, blank.. The problems that I prayed for before (last years and the years before) aren’t gone. Things are just the same and even worse. I’m afraid of myself.. Afraid of losing my faith. Afraid of losing hope.. Feel like I don't have any hope anymore in life..  I'm hating myself for thinking like that. I feel guilty.. I shouldn’t think like that. But then I think about my life and my timeline, and wallah, I’m trying very hard to think about good things that happened in my life (for my family, sisters, brother, school, friends).. NOTHING! seriously nothing.. Is this life? Should it be like that, when every Islam always talks about happiness. Wallah I'm trying to be content with all the problems, and everything.. But..

I even tried to speak to the local sheikh here, but he wasn't of much help..

I hate the "why me", but always wondering, why is life so hard on me. And I know some of you will blame me and tell me to be patient. I've been patient since I was 13 years old, and now I'm 25 years old..

It’s so hard.

Asalamoalykom Muslimaaah,

I hope you are doing well. I understand where you are coming from.

Life isn’t perfect. Try to focus on the things that you’re capable of pursuing. Go with the flow. We have control over certain aspects of our life and actions.  Do what you have control over and leave the rest to Allah. Sooner or later Allah will grant you what you are praying for maybe the time isn't right and if he doesn’t then obviously he will reward you with much more in Heaven.

·        Concentrate on your goals identify what you are good at and your purpose in this world.

·        Pray regardless of your prayers being answered.

·        Help people

·        Focus on happiness

·        Socialise with People with great minds learn from them

·        You don’t need hope to survive a child does not need hope they are happy and content without it

·        Live in the present.

·        Forget what you are praying for pray for others and Angels will pray for you.

·        Remember Allah and he will remember you.

@Muslimaaah Salam Sis, i don't know you so i cant judge, a lot of times people think they are not doing anything wrong but they are... And their problems are coming from within themselves without being aware of that. I used to be the most messed up women in the world and now alhamdulillah i got everything figured out thanks to God, Prophet Mohammad and his progeny. If you think i can do any help then PM please.

Salam

Welcome to life and reality. Islam doesn't guarantee that your life will go smooth. The lifes of the prophets and their family was full of hardship.

The happiness talked about is not the happiness west protrays.

It is an internal happiness that they have submitted their will to God and content with whatever they face, whether good or bad.

This is the islamic meaning of happiness.

But if you are suffering any sort of abuse, seek a Trusted counselor immediately...

There are alot of problem that are not solvable by yourself. Allah(s.w.a) has placed at least a few people in your life that you can trust enough to share your problems with and try to work together to solve them. Allah(s.w.a) works in this world, almost always, through the means and channels that He(s.w.a) has created to benefit people. Work thru those channels. The solution might not be obvious and/or it might not be in the form or way that is most appealing to you, but if you look hard enough, it is there.

And btw, if this problem is of the kind that someone can use the information against you, if they are not a good person, then please don't post or discuss it here with random people on the Internet. That would be a huge mistake. Find someone you trust and talk about it with them. Just because the local sheik wasn't any help doesn't mean there aren't people out there that can help.

Salam.

Sister, reading your post and how you describe your feelings, I think you might have depression. Consistent feelings of emptiness, guilt, hopelessness, tiredness, and apathy are all classic symptoms. I think it would be a good idea to talk to your doctor about how you're feeling, and maybe ask if there's a psychiatrist he or she would recommend. I understand that there is a stigma about mental health in many of our cultures, but please don't let that stop you from getting help.
