I just moved to michigan from Boston for a program at UofM ann arbor. Idk what it is but I'm having trouble finding people to connect with here (or atleast people who are interested in learning more about islam/ like to have intellectual convos. If your from ann arbor/dearborn/detroit  area , we should connect :)

We have a very prominent Dearborner named Abu Hadi, a moderator here, who does an incredible number of things on the integration as well as the practical aspects of Islam.

Bismehe Ta3ala,

Assalam Alikum Sister Ya AB

Insh'Allah you are well and in good health.

I can give you center names you can look up and each one has a youth or women committee that you can get involved in.  Give them a call or an email and make sure you ask when are their programs.  I recommend you attend in person.  Each center has its politics or way of thinking.  Just because I provided this list, doesn't mean I recommend them or I agree with them.  I just put it out so you can check on your own and see what is your cup of tea.

There are other Iraqi centers and I wish I knew them by name, I would have provided the website.

السلام عليكم

I don't live in Dearborn but I go there every Summer. They have tons of activities, just ask around. Dearborn is the place to be, so live it up while you're there. A friend of mine and I were discussing moving there & being roommates (since living expenses are more there than where we live now) but so far haven't.

Enjoy your time in Michigan! It's the best place to be in North America.
