what the latest discussion on moon landing in Iran ? Hear any shayuq or ulama say anything on it lately ?

Salam it's common global belief about it which nobody talks about it any more because there is very much important issues likewise Israel & Gaza & Palestine & internal problems rather than wasting time  on such absurd matters.

Lol.

This is the second man on the moon?

Have you heard of the moon rock that was given by niel Armstrong to a European country and when they had it appraised for insurance purposes it turned out to be petrified wood?

Unfortunately 10% of Americans and 30% of Russians still think the moon landing is faked at this point. We live in the 21st century guys, we can do better than this. Just do a little research on that picture. It would take 5 minutes of your life.

Genuinely it annoys me when people discuss things that they don't understand at all, and pretend like their geniuses, and act like the other side is silly for not agreeing.

That doesn't really matter it was probably a misplacement or thievery. We have over 800 pounds of moon rock verified by scientists.

Oh yes verified lol. They also verified evolution too lol.

Yes the scientific consensus is currently on evolution, but that's harder to confirm. I'm currently in the middle on evolution we just don't know enough.

This however is very easy to prove whether it's from the moon or not.

So you disbeliever the bible. How do we verify that the rocks are from the moon?

@Jeffrey-N, don't you believe the Earth is 5,000 years old? There's pottery that's older than that.

@Jeffrey-N, Also, why on Earth did NASA decide to erase the original video tapes? What's your rationale for that one? From a scientific standpoint and a zealous American patriotic standpoint this seems like sacrilegious act... The most common footage we see of the moon landings nowadays are from lower-quality conversion tapes.

@Jeffrey-N, let me guess... you're going to rush to NASA's defense and argue that it was the season finale of 'Dallas' and they were short on VHS tapes and everyone wanted to know "Who Shot J.R.?"

I don't disbelieve the Bible?

"To verify if a rock is a genuine Moonrock, scientists perform detailed chemical and physical analyses. Key methods include mass spectrometry to analyze isotopic ratios and identify space exposure, mineralogy to find the specific lunar minerals like plagioclase and ilmenite, and radiometric dating to determine its age. The presence of impact breccias and the effects of space radiation, which terrestrial rocks lack, are also crucial indicators."

The Bible never says the earth's age. The only way to determine that the world is 6000 years in the Bible is by adding the ages. But in lists of generations people often skip generations, it's also in Sumerian kings list. I can also give an example in the Bible of skipping generations.

Yeah, but the original tapes still did exist in the past, for example my grandparents watched it live on television.

I don't think it had anything to do with 'Dallas'

You don't need to use the Bible to realize the earth is less than a million years old. My personal belief it's less than 10k. But scientifically it's less than a million.

No it's not a hoax, the USSR and practically all of americas adversaries admitted they landed on the moon, are they all in some sort of conspiracy to cover the "fake" moon landing? No this is ridicilous and almost all conspiracies i've seen on it were weak.

There are many conspiracy theories on america that are solid and ended up being true, the moon landing "hoax" is one of thoses who don't hold water.

There are rocks on Earth that are 2.8 billion years old.  There may be some that are older.  The current scientific estimate of the age of the Solar System is about 5 billion years, and the current scientific estimate of the age of the known universe is about 14 billion years.

There is only evidence of humans existing for about 300,000 years, although absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. The earliest known civilizations were about 6000 years ago.

President Bill Clinton wrote the following in his 2004 autobiography, My Life: "Just a month before, Apollo 11 astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong had left their colleague, Michael Collins, aboard spaceship Columbia and walked on the moon...The old carpenter asked me if I really believed it happened. I said sure, I saw it on television. He disagreed; he said that he didn't believe it for a minute, that 'them television fellers' could make things look real that weren't. Back then, I thought he was a crank. During my eight years in Washington, I saw some things on TV that made me wonder if he wasn't ahead of his time."

Joe Rogan is usually a gracious host. He used to subscribe to the moon landing hoax theory but his scientific buddies browbeat him back to neutrality. He's trying way too hard to be an objective skeptic here. We've heard the perspective of NASA for 55 years. The mainstream narrative is well-known. He should give Bart the floor and allow him to speak freely. Let's hear the unpopular viewpoint without interruption for once. Joe is behaving like Piers Morgan interviewing a pro-Palestine supporter. Joe Rogan Experience #2141 - Bart Sibrel - Approximately 3 hours 8 minutes

I don't have the time either... I make the time... I break it up into 15, 30 or 60 minute segments and watch one segment per day... or I might multitask (e.g. listen while vacuuming, washing dishes or driving, brushing teeth etc.)

I might have popped here in the past and posted exactly the same thing but once you've doubted 9/11 it's hard not to be tempted to believe their moon landing videos were fake as hell.

It's all too much of a Hollywood scenario.

I have a hard time seeing the moon landings as fake, considering many ennemy countries of the US have accepted it as a fact. Are the US, iran, israel, north korea, russia, china and previously the USSR all cooperating with eachother in a conspiracy to claim the moon landings as real? No.

And if there was any credible evidence of them being fake, they would have called it out for PR purposes, but they didn't and they would know more easily than us the average joe if they landed or not.

This is why these discussions become as absurd as flat earther discussions, you'd have to beleive in this ridicilous notion that they're all collaborating with eachother to make americas PR better. Instead of denying it or atleast saying "we don't know".

Not everything the US says is false too, sometimes they say the truth. They said saddam hussein was a tyrant. Was he a tyrant? Yes he was. Was gaddafi a tyrant? Yes he was. Is the US right in saying the earth is a globe? Yes they are. See? Not everything they say is also propaganda, you have to distinguish it, it's fine to commit the genetic fallacy on american sources, they lie like they breath oxygen, but you also have to not do it to every claim comming out of the US, especially when it's ridicilous to do so.

Salam

interesting

However, generally, this verse also refers to a miracle during the lifetime of the holy prophet, peace, and blessings upon where he made the moon come from the sky. It got smaller and smaller. He ripped it in half each half went up his sleeve and came out his neck he put the side of his neck from the shirt. He put it back together and pushed it towards the sky. It got bigger and bigger till it returned to its place.

It’s also referred to in many commentaries to be when the moon is split in half before the end of time

Poetically since our Lady Fatima, peace upon her is referred to the moon in commentary. It means that her heart was split in half after the martyrdom of Imam Hussayn as at Karbalah

But your scientific commentary is very interesting and quite probable if the numbers are accurate because obviously verses have more than one meaning

Yes shaikh, I was astounded when I had first encountered it in a book, so I made it sure to verify the numbers. Minus this verse, no. of remaining verses in surah al-Qamar is 54. Then from surah al-Rahman to surah al-naas, I kept adding the last verse no. of each surah till the end getting the grand total 1389. After years, before posting here I rechecked at Grok asking the no. of verses in the Qur'an after surah al-Qamar:1.

And as you said, verses have more than one meaning, that indeed is a great sign of the Qur'an's divine origin.

Salam, Brother. Sorry to be asking this, but I need to know. Was the Grok AI chatbot using the number of verses according to Shias or according to Sunnis who don't count the Bismillah verse on the Surahs?

Taking bismillah as unnumbered verse.
