Salamu Alaikum!

I read about the story of Bibi Sakina on www.duas.org.

Now I have heard of a very similar story but instead of Bibi Sakina they used the name Raqayyah. Is this the same person. Or is someone else? I would love some clarification on this one.

Shukran.

Salamu Alaikum!

Who is the other daughter named Ruqayyah?

Shukran.

She was either called Ruqayyah or Fatima al Kubra according to narrations, she was 11 years old and the daughter of Lady Sharbanhu (sa).

No! They are different.

Sukayna bt. al-Husayn b. Ali b. Abi Talib (a) was the daughter of Imam al-Husayn (a) and Rubab bt. Imru' al-Qays.

But Ruqayya bt. al-Ḥusayn (Arabic: رُقَیَّة بنت الحُسَین), according to some reports, was one of the daughters of Imam al-Husayn (a) who was present at the tragedy of Karbala and was amongst the captives that was taken to Syria. According to these reports, it was during this captivity in Syria that led to her martyrdom at the tender age of three. Currently there exists a mausoleum for her in the city of Damascus, Syria.
