Assalamu Alaykum. How do people cope with the loss of a family relative? How can they handle it, and what experiences did they have? Are they still affected after a long time? In Islam, is weeping over memories for the loss of someone allowed? Etc.

Salam. My condolences for the loss of your dear family member. I have lost family members so I know how you must be feeling. Allah gave us the ability to cry, to express the grief that we have, so weeping is a natural response. Over time, you will still weep for your loved one, but when you think of the good times, inshaAllah you will smile again. (hugs)
