Iranian Muslim athletes

You know what? I just love Iranian Muslim athletes.

I recently watched the Olympics (weightlifting) with Rostami winning gold (and broke his own world record) amazing stuff, but this is not the only reason.

Here's is why these Muslims athletes don't neglect their religion.

1. Before doing the weightlifting Rostami shouted "Bismillahirahmneerhaeem".

2. When winning the gold medal he did go down in sujood and thanked God.

3. A woman was (I guess) congratulating him on the victory, and it was clear that he wasn't going to shake her hands (which she obviously understood).

4. The official who had to handle out the medal to Rostami took the medal from a plate, and this plate was in fact held by a woman in very un-Islamic clothing. This woman was standing when the winner of silver and bronze were to receive their medals, BUT when it was Rostami's turn, she did go and a male came and held a plate.

I wonder: why is it such for these athletes? I think it's very amazing.

I'd imagine they request these kinds of exceptions in standard practices be made.  I'd also be willing to bet that at least a few, if not many, of the Muslim athletes do things differently in front of the camera than they would otherwise do.
