MY PROTEST [EHTEJAJ] AGAINST SHIA'ISM

Assalam o Alaikum all shia brothers and sisters,

As you all know that the fundamental hadith collection of shia Islam on both Usul and Furu include Al-Kafi of Kulayni, Al-Faqih of Sadooq, Tahzib ul Ahkam and Al-Istibsar of Toosi, collectively called as Kutub e Arba (Four Books). But why these four basic books are not available in English (universal language), in searchable form, so that anyone can find and read narrations of Ahlebait easily, as Ahlul Sunnah have done (see alone sunnah.com, it include all major hadith books in searchable form for everyone, nothing is hidden).

Famous and biggest shia website Al-islam.org have translated so many books in English, but not those four fundamental books. Primary & original source books are not available for everyone while secondary & duplicate soucre books are there. This is realy an astonishing fact.

If any of the following basic shia hadith books are already available in English plz share dwonload/online links. I will be very thankful to you.

Al Kafi is available on the internet go search for it but keep in mind that we dont put as great as an emphasis on hadith as the sunnis do nor do we take all hadiths from those books the first criteria is the quran any hadith that contradicts the quran should be thrown down on its head period.

HubeAli responded to a similar inquiry that I had and revealed that they have most of our primary narrations (narrations compiled before Imam Mahdi's occultation) translated into English and the rest is just a matter of time, God willing.

One of the biggest factors is that there are at least four times as many Sunnis (on the Internet and otherwise) as Shias, so Shia books will obviously be translated at a slower rate.

"The masters of jurisprudence (fuqaha) when defining jurisprudence, use the following sentence: Jurisprudence is the study of the secondary commands (i.e. not the principle matters of beliefs and moral perfection, but the commands regulating actions) of the Shari'ah of Islam gained from the detailed resources and proofs.

The Principles of Jurisprudence

For the study of jurisprudence, mastery of many other branches of learning are necessary as a preparation, and these consist of the following:

1. Arabic: syntax, conjugation, vocabulary, semantics, oratory as the Qur’an and Traditions are in Arabic, without knowing at least the usual standard of the Arabic language and literature it is not possible to benefit from the Qur’an and the Traditions.

2. Commentary upon the Holy Qur’an (tafsir). Taking into consideration the fact that the jurisprudents must use the Qur’an as a point of reference, some knowledge in the study of the commentaries upon the Qur’an is absolutely essential.

3. Logic, called mantiq in Islam. Every branch of learning in which reasoning is used stands in need of logic.

4. The study of the Traditions. The jurisprudent must have a sound knowledge of the Traditions and must be able to distinguish the different types of Traditions and they become acquainted with the language of the Traditions as a result of their frequent application.

5. The study of the Transmitters (rijal). The study of the Transmitters means knowing the identities and natures of those who have transmitted the Traditions. Later it will be explained how the Traditions existing in the sanctuary of books of Traditions cannot be accepted without examination. The study of the Transmitters is the examining and scrutiny of the men who make up the chains (isnad) of reporters of the Traditions.

6. The study of the Principles of Jurisprudence. The most important branch of learning in preparation for jurisprudence is the principles of jurisprudence, a delightful subject and one originated by Muslims.

The Principles of Jurisprudence is, in reality, the "study of the rules to be used in deducing the Islamic laws" and it teaches us the correct and valid way of deducing from the relevant sources in jurisprudence. In this way, Principles, like logic, is a study of instructions, and is more a skill than a branch of knowledge, meaning that in jurisprudence, that which is discussed is a chain of things that must be, rather than a chain of things which are.

Bearing in mind the fact that it is possible to refer in particular ways to the documents or sources of jurisprudence and to be led to erroneous deductions opposed to the real view of the Islamic Shari'ah, it is necessary for there to be a special field of study that enables one to clearly discern the correct and valid method of using the sources of jurisprudence as a reference to deduce and extract from them the laws of Islam by means of the proofs of reasoning and the proofs provided by God through the Prophet and the Imams. The Principles of Jurisprudence is the field of study that fulfils this purpose.

From the early days of Islam, another word that is more or less synonymous with the word fiqh (jurisprudence) and which has been in common use amongst Muslims is the word ijtihad. In the Muslim world today, especially the Shi'ite world, the words faqih (jurisprudent) and mujtahid are synonymous with each other.

The word ijtihad is from the root juhd which means utter striving. For this reason, a faqih is also called a mujtahid, since he must use all his efforts in deducing Islamic laws (ahkam)."

Advice from His Eminence,Sayyid Ali al-Sistani (may the Almighty prolong his life) to the Believing Youth

"....Moreover, one should acquaint himself with three books, contemplating and reflecting on his readings from them:

First and foremost is the Qur’an. It is the last message of God to His creation. He sent this message to sharpen the minds and make streams of wisdom spring from them, and also mellow the rigid hearts. He narrated stories in it as examples to its readers. One should not abandon reading this book to himself, thereby making his soul feel God is talking to him. That is because God, the Exalted, sent this book as a message to the world.

The second is Nahj al-Balaghah. This book explains the meanings of the Qur’an in an eloquent style that provokes a spirit of reflection, contemplation, learning, and wisdom. Therefore, one should read it whenever he has a chance, and imagine that Imam Ali, may peace be upon him, is addressing him directly. Also, one should pay special attention to the letter of Imam Ali, may peace be upon him, to his son, Imam al-Hasan, may peace be upon him.

The third is al-Sahifah al-Sajjadiyah. It contains eloquent supplications whose meanings are extracted from the Qur’an. There are teachings in those supplications about how one’s orientation, obsession, vision, and ambition should be. They also teach one how to call himself to account and how to scrutinize and criticize himself, particularly the supplication of Makarim al-Akhlaq (Noble Moral Traits)."

Ziarat 'Aale -Yasin' & the Dua after آلِ يـٰس

Ziarat Aal-e-Yaseen is an important Ziarat of Imam-e-Zaman(a.s.). It is actually a Hadith Qudsi (direct saying of Allah(swt)) as reported in Mafatih-al-Jinnan.  According to the traditions, "Aal-e-Yaseen" is equivalent to "Aal-e-Muhammad(pbuh&hf)" and is the correct pronunciation (Qira'at) of verse 37:130 of the Holy Quran. Beside its superb beauty, one of the interesting points about this Duaa is that, in it, we confess all the central beliefs one by one. It is also recommended to be recited to obtain relief from oppression. This ziy¡rah is reported from Shaykh A¦mad ibn Ab¢-±¡lib al-±abris¢ in his book of al-I¦tij¡j, as follows:"

I really want to know about correct shia belief about kafi as it's the first book among the major four books,.That which scholar's commentary about kafi is reliable, which is also available in English/urdu? and how mcuh part of it is declared as sahih by major shia scholars of hadith?

This site is realy doing good job as comapred to others, by translating books into english.

Thanks brother for sharing some useful links. They are really helpful.

But atleast primary hadith books need to be translated as soon as possible.

Thanks brother for sharing nice information. But I already have all such books. I am in need of hadith books, because I want to read roiginal souces like I mentioned above. I hope they will be available for all very soon.

You mentioned advice of Sistani, that one should acquaint himself with three books. But no any hadith book which contains narrations of Prophet s.a.w. WHY?

I think after Quran there must be a hadith book, then nahjul balagha and sahifa sajadiya. Where I can find and read narrations of Prophet s.a.w. If you know any book plz guide me, thanks.

Only Allah and 14 Masoomin can accomplish the above task. No Shia scholar is capable of the above. Each Ulema grades its on hadiths based on his knowledge.

We are not Ahlul Hadiths. We are Ahlul Sunnah. Sunnah has many parts, and one of the part is hadiths. Hadiths in not only the exclusive part of Sunnah.

We have no such thing as Sahih Sitta. PERIOD.

History is part of the Sunnah. You should read the Islamic history to yourself knowledge about Islam. Especially, the history of Mutazila and Ashari. Also, you will learn that at one time Islam was leader in Science and Maths. Today, most Muslims are uneducated, let alone surpass others in Science and Maths.

Salam brother, I have all the volumes of Al-Kafi here. But keep in mind that none of these count as our most authentic books and only the Quran does. If narrations go with the Quran we take it and whatever narrations go against the Quran we reject.

I have legit been searching for tehzeeb Al ahkam in English and urdu, and any websites offering pdfs are dupe websites. everytime u click on the links it takes u to infinite adds,  many viruses are spread. it's astonishing that one of the 4 major book does not have ONE Arabic, urdu or English pdf out there. YES NOT EVEN ARABIC. the only version I could find was on Scribd, and that too a small preview part, even if I did end up buying that IT WAS NOT THE WHOLE Book.
