Assalam o Alaikum and Eid Mubarak to all forum members.

May Allah accept our good deeds and forgive our bad deeds (AMEEN).

Here is the Question.

What is your Manhaj or Methodology of understanding, analyzing and accepting the teachings & interpretations of Quran and ahadith of His beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W)?

Give your opinion. What you have adopted in this regard?

Jazak Allah Khairan.

We should be on what our beloved prophet said:

Indeed I leave two valuable things between you, the book of Allah and my household...

Then we should follow both Quran and Ahlulbayt and get the true interpretation of Quran from them

And, the FULL SUNNAH, which includes Tafsir of Holy Quran, Hadiths, Ruwaiths, History and most notably The Sharia.

When it comes to the ahadith  the methodology is al follows :

A narration is accepted if it ;

1.)Cant be proven impossible by the Quran

2.)Is not in dispute with the Quran

3.)Doesnt go against commonsense

4.)Comes through a reliable chain of narrators

5.) Is not in dispute with other narrations that suit the four points above

Excellent. The narration has two parts. The most important part is matan (meaning) of hadith and the second part is sanad (chain) of the hadith. If the matan doesn't agree with what you have said above, then the sanad doesn't matter.

I will give two example:

1. The Holy Prophet (saws) was under the extreme magic for 6 months. No matter how strong or sahih the sanad is, the matan doesn't agree with the Holy Quran and the character of the Prophet.

2. Umm al-Moumineen was accused of zina (astafgurallah) and the Prophet couldn't prove her innocence for 2 months. He didn't receive the wahiy for complete two months.
