It seems that a lot of converts in North America and the U.K. who initially become Sunni become Shi'a somewhere down the road, usually after being disappointed by the other Muslims who are intolerant, narrow-minded, sectarian-minded, and unable to empathize and understand the emotional needs of converts, especially females.
