Which night is the night of Qadr

Someone asked Imam Ali (a.s): tell me which night should I consider as the Qadr? The Imam said: in the last Sevens! By Allah, if you know the last Seven (nights), you also know the first one, and if you understand the first Seven, you will understand the night of Qadr.

"I didn’t get what you said" the man said.

Then the Imam said:

"Verily, We have set veils over their hearts so that they understand this not, and over their ears, deafness. If thou callest them to guidance, even then will they never accept guidance". (Kahf, 75)

But if to understand it is complicated to you, then listen:

When 23 nights passed of Ramadan, then you seek the night of Qadr on the 24th night.

Al Qaraa't, V 1, P 187

This narration says that the night of Qadr is the night of the 24th of Ramadan while it is famous that it is on 23th night.

Now, I am confused!

In many other traditions from the Ahl al-Bayt, the 23rd night has been emphasized. This is while the traditions of the Ahl al-Sunnah have emphasized the 27thnight.

In a tradition from Imam Sadigh (SA), it has been narrated that: The designation is on the 19th, the consolidation is on the 21st, and the decree (is signed) on the 23rd. This tradition is very interesting in that it combines all of the other traditions into a unified understanding of the issue. Some people are of the opinion that the night of Qadr has been left unknown amongst the days of the year or the days of the month of Ramadan in order that the people spend their time in worship during all of the possible nights.
