No, it is not possible to follow the rulings of two maraje. You must choose one marja who you believe is the most knowledgeable and follow his rulings in all affairs.

Quran:

Who listen to SPEECH and FOLLOW the BEST of it. Those are the ones Allah has GUIDED,and those are people of understanding.(39:18)

Imam Ali (a):

If two opposite theories are propagated one will be wrong.

salam,

i have heard you can follow two marji if they both are of same calibre. But you can't follow both on a same issue. I personally follow ayat sistani

Salam

The verse says follow best of SPEECH not personality .

So if there are contradicting views, listen to both speech, investigate, thru hadiths, and try to correspond them with the Quran, according to your CAPACITY.

When Allah sees you sincerely trying to make a research to know the truth and which is correct , according the verse, HE GUIDES THESE SORT OF PEOPLE,As you will be considered a person of understanding , as only a person of understanding investigates. A person who leaves any matter which is important to him on others only, without questioning to understand and choose the best, is not a person who seeks to understand but just wants to follow without proper investigation .

Would a guy even buy a car like that ? :) he would definately make thorough investigation before he makes the right decision.

ُُSalam alaykum. you can follow tow Marja but only if both of them ate equal in knowledge and and each of them in the particular topic, for example you can follow Ayatollah Sistani in the Namaz issue and Ayatollah Khamenei in fasting issue otherwise you can't follow two Marjas.

^No, the classic usooli response is that you can't. The whole point of the concept of an a'lam is that one must be the most knowledgeable. And, 'most' is a superlative; there's only one. Thus, you must decide who you believe is the most knowledgeable and stick to him. You cannot change your marja based on the problem you have. The only way of following another marja is if your current marja does not give an unambiguous ruling on an issue and gives an ihtiyat. In such a case, you may refer to the ruling of whoever you consider the most knowledgeable after him, provided that this scholar does not use an ihtiyat on the issue and has a proper ruling.

7. If an A'lam Mujtahid gives a fatwa on some matter, his follower cannot act in that matter on the fatwa of another Mujtahid. But if he does not give a fatwa, and expresses a precaution (Ihtiyat) that a man should act in such and such a manner, for exam ple if he says that as a precautionary measure, in the first and second Rak'at of the namaz he should read a complete Surah after the Surah of "Hamd", the follower may either act on this precaution, which is called obligatory precaution (Ihtiyat Wajib), or he may act on the fatwa of another Mujtahid who it is permissible to follow. Hence, if he (the second Mujtahid) rules that only "Surah Hamd" is enough, he (the person offering prayers) may drop the second Surah. The position will be the same if the A'a lam Mujtahid expresses terms like Ta'mmul or Ishkal.
