Salam,

What were the tribes that lived in Mecca during the Early Period of Islam?

Was there only Quraish tribe or more?

Salam

According to the historical sources, there were some tribes rather than Quraish in Mecca.

They were: Khozaa', Aal Safvan, Aal Qudvan, Aaa Nesah, Bani Kenane, Bani Yokhlad, Banu Haris

Are you sure all of them were in mecca at the time of Islam? Like banu Abbas!! I think the list you made is about all Arab tribes all over the times!!

Some of the mentioned tribes if not many of them are sub-divisions of Quaraish
