The Existence and supremacy of GOD

Salam everyone,

i had a question revolving in my mind for much time and so today i decided to share my question so that i may find satisfying answers from the knowledgeable users of the forum

From the time we are young the elders tell us that nothing perfect can come in to existence by itself and so that is the proof for the existence of god

but the question that arises is that how can God come to being all by himself?

The "How" do not apply for an being that is not an creation.

Imam Musa (as) said: "Surely God was The Living without "how" (kayf) or "where" (ayn) ". He was first without "How", and Last withouth "where".

And he also said: "Whose says "how"? has compared Him (to something). Whoso says "why?" has professed for Him a cause. Whoso says "when?" has determent Him in time. Whose says "in what?" has enclosed Him. Whoso says "to what?" has professed for Him a limit. Whoso says "until what" has given Him an end. Whose give Him an end has associated an end with Him. Whose associated an end with Him has divided Him. Whose divided Him has described Him. Whose describe Him has deviated from straight path concerning Him.

but Islam permits us to use aql and reasoning for everything doesn't it?

It is an reasoning itself. The reason actually conclude that God can't be comprehend by Mind, nor we can say those words about Him.

I used to think exactly like you till I watched this video about Imam Ali a.s when asked if Imam Ali a.s has seen God" Please read the subtitles if you don't understand Arabic, pause if you have to, its important you understand what he is saying. Its part of najulbalagha.. After watching this, I put down my head down  in Sajdah and said to God, there is no doubt in my mind about your existence! And I thanked God for making me born into a Shia, the true Islam. if we value the true meaning of being a Shia, I swear to Allah if you have to compare it in this unworldly materialistic world, then its worth more than all the money/treasure that's in this world.

Depends on what ways you look at it, there are many ways...for example, everything created has a creator except for the creator of everything who is not created (imam ali a.s.). Scientifically speaking, 1 x 10^-43 is one proof that we have been created by God. "Before a time classified as a Planck time, 10^-43 seconds, all of the fourfundamental forces are presumed to have been unified into one force. All matter, energy, space and time are presumed to have exploded outward from the original singularity. " Then all of a sudden BOOM everything "magically" gets created and you have perfect laws such as cosmological fine tuning, nature and nurture, animals kingdom laws like predation, and perfect being that ALL ARE BORN THE SAME AND FUNCTION THE SAME?!?!
