Salam,

There was a demonstration of so called military aircraft of Iran, named f-313 a few years ago.

It was ridiculed by the west and it mostly looked like a mockup.

Is there any news on this? And what was the reason for this really, if it was a fake?

It's not a fake, it's a really early prototype. I doubt it even flies properly, even though there is a video of it. 

According to physics and common sense, that thing doesn't look good.......and needs some proper work. It's a research plane and nothing more, got way more hype than it deserved.
