Islam is the only true religion/way of life accepted in sight of Allah , prophat mohamed is the LAST messanger of islam , and with prophat mohammed death the religion is already completed in the best form , we don't/didn't need any calaphate after prophat mohamed , they were all just rulers looking for power and influence , all the islamic conquests are not justified other the the one with the 3 big empires cuz one killed the messanges send to prophat mohammed in persia , and in Roma they tear the messanges and were torturing the arus people who non tritarian christans and roma was occupying egypt so with muslim coming and liberating north africa from the barbaric of romans , crossing people and buring them alive etc . >> this is all history look it up .

as for the all the calaphates that claim they have right after prophat mohamed etc etc , all is this is not true or even mention anywhere from islam , islam reached china , india , indonesea and many other places with no conquests and even before the mugals etc , Islam is peaceful religion and it only require muslims to fight in self desence so anyone who created unnecessary wars are not following islam or prophat mohammed message or traditional of spearing islam .

As you are aware that Islam is not only  a personal relationship with God. With this understanding, what is the purpose of the Message? It needs to be implemented, for the benefit of the human society. To deliver a Divine message, messenger has to be infallible, similarly the executor must be infallible and both appointed by the Divine source.

Question, should be did God appoint and the Messenger announced the successor?

If yes, who is it?

If No, what is your opinion of the “god” who sends 124,000 messengers to deliver a system for the benefit of the society, and informs us in the book that the prior message were corrupted after the messenger left, send down a Surah[#63] titled “The Hypocrites” Al- Munaafiqoon.

Same “god”, who sends the Final Messanger with the Final and Complete Message for Humanity till the end of times, and leaves the execution and implementation of the Divine Message in the hands of new converts?

If above doesn't make sense, look for what both parties have to say.

One says/implies that the god and the messenger were not concerned with it. People took the matter in their hands and had a meeting in a house and appointed one person, that person, before he died had the insight to appoint another person, and that person selected six people to be considered for the next ruler. Obviously, god and the messenger were absent here in this process.

Second party, says, Allah[awj] appointed the messengers and the protectors for the Divine Message and its infallible implementation. See Ghadir Khumm.

Bismillah,

It appears, brother, that you have got a wrong conception of Imam and Imamate. As you post shows, you think that succession to the Prophet means ruling over the Muslims and making wars against non-Muslims and conquering other lands and so forth. But this is wrong.

Imam, in the Shi'i point of view, is the successor of the Prophet in all respects. The Prophet s.a.w. was a guidance for the humanity as a whole whose task was to elevate people morally and to teach them the Qur'an and the wisdom (و یزکّیهم و یعلّمهم الکتاب و الحکمة) [Qur'an 3:164; 62:2] The Prophet s.a.w. declares that his mission is to make the moral values perfect. (انما بعثت لأتمّم مکارم الأخلاق) And all of these tasks fall on the shoulders of the successor of the Prophet, after his demise, i.e. Imams.

Yes, establishing an Islamic state is also one of the tasks of the Prophet s.a.w., without which the application of the the whole system of Islamic laws is impossible, and consequently, Imams have this task, too; however, this is only one part of their mission, and to equate Imamate with political power and invasion of other lands is clearly incorrect.

And you can see that most of the Shi'i Imams-except Imam Ali, Imam Hassan, and Imam Husayn a.s.-did not possess any political power in the sense you mean, yet they were Imams and they guided the Shi'a throughout their lives.

I think it's better to post questions like these in the Shia Sunni Dialogues section.

@sakura1994 That is not true. You remind of how Umar said to the Prophet that the Qur'aan is enough for them. There's a reason why there are narrations. Without the narrations, there are so many issues that cannot make sense to you. Also, there are narrations of how the Prophet (pbuh) appointed Imam Ali (as) over his Ummah after him.

Quote

He(pbuh) said, 'Do you not bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His servant and Apostle, and that His Heaven is true, His Hell is true, death is true, the Resurrection after death is true, that there is no doubt that the Day of Judgment will come, and that Allah will resurrect the dead from their graves?' They said, 'Yes, we bear witness.' He said, 'O Allah, bear witness.' Then he said, 'O people, Allah is my Lord and I am the lord of the believers. I am worthier of believers than themselves. Of whomsoever I had been Master (Mawla), Ali here is to be his Master. O Allah, be a supporter of whoever supports him (Ali) and an enemy of whoever opposes him and divert the Truth to Ali.'

Quote

The Prophet (pbuh) said, 'Ali is to me as Aaron was to Moses except that there is no Prophet after me.'

Well you could try and figure out if Saqifah was a divine place suitable to elect the successor of the Prophet.

Either way, you will get your answer.
