Asalamu Aalaikum,

I hope as many Muslim women help spread this thread.

Now I'm not going to ask about how to gain self confidence or the courage to ask a girl out or all the things a desperate guy needs to have to be able to find his one true love of his life. I already have those traits. I'm talking about asking conservative Muslim girls on dates since I'm 18. Now I know that I should perhaps wait until I'm 25 and get married. But that's seven years away. Do I really need to wait that much just to get a simple Muslim girlfriend were we can go on dates and just talk? I want to have some minor relationship before I get married. Perhaps I'm doing this because of peer pressure or since I want to show my friends that I can get a girl. I have seen many videos and tutorials from before of guys just asking out random girls on the street and getting their number with enough confidence and I got inspired by that. But those videos involve western countries with western women and men. How about when I ask Muslim girls out?

I feel that I just want to have at least one relationship before I get married. So for all Muslim girls here, please give me some advice on to ask you out. :sign_merci:

Salaam

Tell her father that you would like to have a muta marriage with no physical contact for a certain amount of time. or you can include holding hands. Or negotiate whatever circumstance of the marriage you want. Mutah is allowed by the religion of Allah, the Most High.

Even a troll should get the best of replies.

There was a thread a few years back with the best 'Islamic chat up lines' - that might be helpful.

One time I was walking with a guy, and he went up behind these two girls and whispered quite loudly 'ma sha Allah' - avoid that one, I still cringe when I think about it, but at the time I wanted to find a hole to die in.

Talking a girl without need/compulsion is HARAAM (forbidden) or if you doubt that I could get into sin after engaging with a girl is also HARAAM. The only solution is the "Mutah (temporary marriage)" or "Nikah (Permanent marriage)". What is up with peer pressure when you should have a pressure of God to forbid things and love him more than the women atleast when you are 18 and have hormones bubbling up and down. Get closer to Allah and talk to him because he has higher precedence than the girl.

Wa aleikum as salam brother,

If there is a particular Muslimah that you would be interested in proposing marriage, just be yourself and be respectful, any girl would appreciate that and ask if you could speak to her father. Don't worry about being nervous, girls feel the same way.

And don't try to be like some non-Muslim guys who try to be overly flirty and arrogant, wallahi I feel some brothers feel the need to do that. Since I reverted I've had some really cringy encounters with brothers who insist on calling me 'baby' at the end of every sentence (not a problem if they're my husband but if not just no ) and the most ridiculous chat up lines.

As you know, men are the products of their environment and upbringing, anyone can be rude or act without manners regardless of their religious affiliation. It all depends on how they were raised, so don't be discouraged nor should you associate this behavior with how Shia men act generally.

step 1: dont

18 isn't a great age for creating lasting relationships

as you've mentioned this is mostly due to peer pressure which is already a red flag

Also you yourself said you should probably marry a few years later. Who you are at 18 is very different from who you are at even 22/23 much less 25 so you may not even be interested in the same person at that age

Muslim families are also not okay with their daughters dating (even if it's through mutah) so it may be difficult for the girl - either she will have to hide it or lie or both

Think about why you want this and if it would really be something that adds to your life

also think about what else you can prioritize (other than dating) that can help make your life better

LOL it's obvious you were messing.

As for this question, well, my previous replies show exactly how i feel about it. And to think that some of the better threads get locked..... cringe worthy.

OP first of all, have you even got a ceremonial sword? is it sharp? you have to pass a "trial of three" before you can date a muslim woman. it tests your strength, mental ability and courage. this is a secret custom that all muslim men have to go through when courting a conservative muslim woman.

the test of strength is a duel with a champion of the girls choosing. body armour is preferred but not mandatory. google "tatbir" for examples of the aftermath of such duels. the formal way to challenge her champion is to ceremonially kiss her father on the lips. this symbolises your pure intention and chastity.

the test of mental ability is performed by proving a test of your memory, usually in song/ poetry form. this is done in front of a large crowd of men in a mosque. examples exist on youtube of men doing it, for example if you youtube "latom live" you should see plenty of examples.

the test of courage is usually performed in the desert, or a zoo if you live in the west. you have to ride on the back of a lion while saying the name of your chosen beloved, as is custom.

please report back how you get on and I will show you the next steps

Thanks for the advice!!! Yet when we were about to do the duel an Israeli jet came by and bombed us all. They were looking for any ISIS members in the area and saw us as the closest thing to them. You're probably wondering how I'm able to talk to you like this well it seems that when the explosion came I was still alive but naked.

Thanks to you I now know I'm Super Man and will fight for justice!!!

Sure my crush died and everyone else I loved but hey... I'm SUPERMAN!!!

Oh no... ERIC. I think you've misunderstood her. She had imagined how this thread was gonna attract interesting comments and that's why she needed the popcorn. You don't have to make a big deal out of it man:sign_war:
