My condolences to you brother Abu Hadi--one of the greatest blessings anyone could ever ask for is to leave behind Salih (righteous) children as you've described above...Mashallah for all that she has accomplished....

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un

(Mercy and Love from the Creator to the created is hardly limited to Muslims alone but for all mankind and thus, "Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return")

I'm sorry for your loss brother. She lived almost a 100 years which is truly remarkable. May Allah have Mercy on her.

Thank you all for your kind words.

There is something very interesting about my grandmother that I've often though about

As I said above, she had 4 children, three boys and one girl. Of those children three of them had their own children. My father had three me, my brother and my sister, and her daughter, my aunt had one. My uncle Mike has two children neither of them have their own children. So of the 6 grandchildren, the ones who had children, me, my brother, and my sister are all muslim. As some of you know me, my brother and sister all reverted to Islam, at separate times. So my grandmother, who is Christian, has 13 great grandchildren, all are Muslim(alhamdulillah).

Bismehe Ta3ala,

Assalam Alikum Brother Abu Hadi,

My condolences to you brother for your loss.  Insh'Allah you, your children, and her grandchildren are all sadaqa jariya for her.

To God we belong, and to Him we shall return.

God bless you and peace and mercy on your grandmother.

M3 Salamah, FE AMIN Allah

Dear bother Abu Hadi,

May Allah swt grant you patience. As far as salvation, Allah swt is Rahman and Raheem both and he has promised paradise all the righteous in Quran, including Christians and Jews; I assume this specifically includes those to whom the final message never reached.

Thank you all for your dua' and kind words. I have been really sad for the last few days, it is starting to lift now, it is good to know there are a community of mumineen and mominaat out there.

@Abu Hadi  Brother, I pray that all of the wonderful deeds that you do--especially in spreading the word of truth through your efforts--pass up to her as well Insha'Allah :) I've personally benefited from your Migration 313 videos, and sincerely give thanks.

I'll recite Surah Ya Sin for her Insha'Allah.

Bismehe Ta3ala,

Assalam Alikum Brother Abo Hadi,

How are you?  Insh'Allah you are well and in good health. Joum3 mubaraqa to you.  I wanted to ask you a question.  When Imam sadiq said be our Shias by action, would your grandma ask you about your religion or was curious about it?

My dear relative has passed for over two months now and the grief is still visible for me.  Not that God forbid I question her passing, the life she lived in an oppressive household for over 40 years of a pharaoh husband has me wondering how she tolerated such a life of oppression. I know why she did it, but I don't know how she handled all the physical and verbal abuse.

She was an amazing woman where she raised pious children while her husband was irreligious.  With years of patience, she was illtreated and this effected her health resulting in stage 4 cancer and eventually death.  Her sins were cleansed in this dunya through 18 months of suffering, pain, and anguish.  All her neighbors loved her, she served many family members, only kind words are said about her.

I wanted to express my condolences to you and see how you are doing.  Death is always a lesson for us.  We don't know where, how, and when death will befall us.  I ask Allah for his mercy upon us and take us when He is pleased from us.

M3 Salamah, FE AMIN Allah

Thank you sister for you thoughts and prayers.

The sadness is starting to lift now.

When I became muslim, my grandmother was in her 70's. She was curious and asked about my actions, but I think it was difficult for her to comprehend what motivated my to change or what the implications were. She was very mentally sharp her whole life, despite lacking much formal education, but that started to decline in her late 70's so by the time I was fully prepared to discuss the topic with her in depth, I am afraid she did not have the capacity to fully understand the issues.

I am sorry for the situation with your relative, Allah(s.w.a) will reward her for her patience in that difficult situation.

My grandmothers situation was quite different. My grandfather, her husband, who is still alive, is a very kind, amazing man and one of the main role models for me as a young person. InShahAllah, Allah(s.w.a) will guide him and give me a few more years with him. Salam.
