Ws! :)

This is a very nice idea, CM! Though, I have some questions, if you don't mind: Firstly, are we going to "publish" these works together - e.g. collected and in order in one place? If so, will we do it here, on SC?

Secondly, does it matter whether prose or lyric (though, you mentioned well searched "articles" but maybe there are members here who can write beautiful short, poems, as well)? And whether we also add something else to it like, I try to make these little edits with a hadith or poem on them, on either the birth or death anniversary of any if the Masumeen [a]? And you already wrote that it doesn't matter how long/short it will be; giving a little, indeed, is better than giving nothing, at all.

I will see if I can contribute - I will surely try to.

Ma asalama.

Walaykum Salam,

This is an excellent idea.

If anyone wants to use authentic/reliable/graded hadiths from Muhammed s.a.w you can find them here: http://www.shiachat.com/forum/topic/235027590-muhammed-pbuh-priceless-gems/

It is/was a work in progress essentially. If i get time inshAllah i will try to add to it.

Maybe you could use the hadiths in your articles.

Salam,

Although i answered you already in the chatroom but others may also have similar questions.

1- I did not give it much of a thought as to where. It can be on this forum, you can put a link here if you wish or you can just make it independently like the recent topic by the admin Qaim :ethics of the prophet.

Though, i'll be happy if you let me know, it is sorta encouraging so in the future i may re-request the same from you depending on how generous you have been this year.

2- I know i wrote that i want a well researched articles . This is because we do lack these sorts of articles. Also i've come across all sorts of weird beliefs on this forum that are based on nothing but aunts stories. So even if you are writing a poem or making a visual art, just make sure it dose not contain myths in it.

Double checking won't harm. Some of the most powerful poems were also some of the most informative ones, they were not intended to be educational but they contained names and beliefs that are correct and eye opening.

Salam!

I hope someone is trying to write something ..Meanwhile, I found this link. It has links to many pdf files written with Muhammad in their title, many are related to our prophet and few are not

http://download.book5.org/m/muhammad-pdf.pdf

Not all of them are Shia sources, for example, this was written by Zakir Naik: Muhammad in budhist scriptures

It looked much better on my computer- I had to cut some things to save the result (once uploaded), somewhat *sigh* But, anyway, congratulations to everyone!  And I am very curious to see what you guys have come up with, for the prophet (s)! May Allah bless you all.

@Chaotic Muslem - well, I tried my hand at a poem. Somewhat amateurish, perhaps, but I wanted to contribute someting

Time ‘tis was, when ignorance’s dark clouds

Had engulfed mind and soul, young and old.

Of idols and ill customs they were proud,

And to the female infant killings cold.

Only a few amongst them still untouched

Lead by Ibrahim's radiant path,

Through the Almighty's grace and will

In their cradle guidance's light was tucked.

Oh! And when the time thus came, at last,

The Earth anxious to welcome him.

The worshipped fire now is past,

The Palace's shaking his humble hymn.

What a sight you, Aminah, behold!

Your pure child attesting Allah's greatness!

Shines, he, like he is light molded,

Lightening the worlds with his brightness.

Those of the Kitab in search of him,

Come, well aware of his description,

Their books having foretold about him.

Lo! Had passed prophet hood’s transition!

Ishmael’s line carries it now forth,

The holy message, the divine Truth,

Will be brought by the one of most worth.

Mahmud is the High, the Laudable,

And this is his servant, Muhammad,

Ahmed, he is, the one praise-worthy.

Assalam aleikum,

I wrote this poem as a tribute to the relationship that the Prophet (saw) had with Fatima Zahra (as) though these words really don't do this beautiful relationship and people justice.

The Light of Muhammad (saw)

When a girl was born, some faces turned dark

but with Az-Zahra my Prophet showed no such mark.

When parents buried their daughters alive,

my Prophet allowed Fatima Zahra to thrive.

When people saw women as no more than a bride price,

my Prophet kissed Fatima and called her his paradise.

And when my Prophet passed away,

'oh let me be with my father' was all that she would pray.

At her sermon of Fadak was Fatima so brave.

Basked in the light that Muhammad gave.

Assalam o Alaikum all brothers.

I think the best possible way, we can pay tribute to our Beloved Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.W is by following His Sunnah in every step of our life. May Allah help and guide us all to achive this precious goal. Ameen

Here I would love to share a piece of document from the book "The 100, A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History (1978) " of an American author Michael Hart.

Prophet S.A.W.W is not only the most influential person for every muslim but also for all human beings till the day of qiyyamah.

Author in his book placed our Beloved Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.W at first number and praised Him with these historical words:

My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels.

Of humble origins, Muhammad founded and promulgated one of the world's great religions, and became an immensely effective political leader. Today, thirteen centuries after his death, his influence is still powerful and pervasive.
